If all these different races are the same race, why do I mouseover them and it says different?
That’s because they’re considered Subraces, even though ActiBlizz refuse to acknowledge the fact that this category even exists. Most Subraces need only minute/minuscule differences to be considered Subraces.
Some can even look like an entirely different race altogether and still be classified as a Subrace.
Its an interesting thought, but I would think the Eredar are probably trying to figure out who’s in charge now and working on reforming a new Burning Legion.
Well you’d think so but then if Blizzard can make up a secret sect of Void Elves that make an entire faction Alliance side, surely they could have asspulled a Fel Draenei splinter group.
No… wait that makes too much sense for Blizzard nevermind.
Seeing as it was the Eredar that recruited Gil’dan and destroyed Draenor to begin with, I don’t think the Orcs would be quite as chummy with them as you might think.
Uhh no that’s not at all what happened. Gul’dan is the one who shattered Draenor with the Staff of Sargeras. He overloaded the planetary ley nexus which causes the sundering.
I completely agree, this would be a great idea.
That’s not how this cake is baked is it? Allied Races are Blizzard’s catchy term for ‘Sub-race’, because the latter has a negative connotation to it, as in ‘sub’. It’s called positive marketing. Fun ain’t it…
Red draenei would be an excellent addition, and considering they are now all out of work I think they should be snapped up by one of the factions. It’s not as if redeemed races aren’t a thing already. Orcs? Undead?
Personally I’d prefer Horde to get saberon and Alliance to get Ankoan. Alas, we know Horde is probably getting Vulpera and Alliance -shudder- is getting robo-gnomes.
Well let’s be real, Horde get all of the good AR’s that have story, lore and are actually races. Alliance get…fat people and nice art assets that mean nothing to the game or anything that is going on.
Cool, I want to be one of those.
No. That was Ner’zhul.
Yes.
Just yes.
Love this idea.
I can imagine the eradar suffering from lethargy brought on from being cut off from the source of fel magic.
Who better than the orcs and blood elves to help them cope with something they know so intimately?
It’s not a “mistake.” The Draenei renamed themselves as something other than Eredar. The “Man’ari” were called that by the Draenei 25,000 years ago when they broke off… They’ve been using the word Eredar to refer to themselves for that entire time. In fact, if I recall correctly, one of the Draenei in the starting area for their race says pretty specifically “We are not eredar!”
I’ve been asking for this for years, I’d love me some female Eredar Warlock.
As a horde loyalist i demand more tail swooshing and /wiggle
Eridar welcome with open arms.
It’s /waggle you uncultured pleb!
i shall commit sudoku to repent for my disgrace
Except the Undead, Elves, and non-Zul lead Zandalari didn’t bring war against the races of the Horde for 10,000 years. As short as a mere 2 years ago. They races you point out broke away from the people that were actually attacking the Horde to fight back.
The eredar didn’t.
The Undead wanted to fight back against the Scourge.
The eredar never wanted to fight back against the burning legion.
The Scourge were a global threat. The Horde have fought both Night and High Elves multiple times in the last few decades. Which tribe trolls belong to is barely relevant as far as racial tensions are concerned. Furthermore, there are incidents of Eredar breaking off from the Legion in the lore as-is. Sataiel to name just one.
