Eredar allied race

I think the Eredar, or a faction of them would have complemented the horde faction pretty well.

  1. If the story were told right the orcs and eredar could have a lot in common. Both were tainted by the fel. It would be cool to see orcs help another race over come their dark past as they did.
  2. It could give the horde a space ship to even the palying field from a military point of view. And it could set up some cool game play later in the game.
  3. It would give the horde a version of the draeni model. While clearly being different. It could add more flavor to the horde.

Honestly I hope that NEVER comes to pass, The Eredar simply have no place in either the horde or the alliance.

Ehhhh I’d say no. The eredar gave themselves over to Sargeras and the legion. granted we have some cases where demons themselves went against Sargeras but I cannot recall any eredar doing so.

Besides…we…kind of killed most of them I guess?

I’;d rather see a new race rather than red draenei

Sargerei on the Horde side would be interesting. Not full blown eredar though.

The Eredar were responsible for the destruction of Draenor (outlands) and their green skin, I’m pretty sure that’s a big deal breaker for the orcs.

No, the destruction of Draenor was all Ner’zhul.

As long as they have Wings and Whippy tail, I’ll race change everything to them.

Just thought I’d correct you on the fact that Draenei are Eredar too.

I suspect you mean the Man’ari (demon-corrupted) Eredar, which I think should have been playable on Alliance instead of the Light-forged Draenei.

Having Man’ari on the Alliance would have made things more interesting for the Alliance faction in general.

Care to clarify how having those responsible for the Draenei fleeing their now destroyed home makes more sense than light forged? That’s like inviting someone who rips copper wire from buildings to be your housemate while the guy who watches over your property is told to get lost lol.

If anything them dranei folks would want to convert them to the light

I don’t see either faction inviting a supremacist, power mad group who launched an invasion to conquer Azeroth, and was perfectly willing to ally with some really nasty powers in to it.

Even more so when that same group was roundly defeated and opposed by both factions! I mean, sure, one faction has a derivative of the race in it already, but they are wildly different and rejected the other.

And that is why Zandalari will never be playable.

I would really rather they not “trade races” between the two factions any more than they already have.

I’d be fine with them in the Alliance, but not Horde.

Orcs did the exact same thing though. Am i right?

Even if there were some lore explanation to have it work, we already have two alien goat races. Why go for that instead of adding more customization options for the character creation? It’s what I think they should have done for Lightforged and for HM tauren in favor for other races.

Nope. I personally really hate that approach. If the only thing that differentiates the races of the Alliance and the Horde is the color of their skin, then all faction identity goes straight out the window.

While we are at it; I wouldn’t mind playing a Pit Lord.

To be fair, that could be an opportunity for the orcs and the Horde to show that they can be the “bigger man” as well, and help them anyways.

Sargeras is trapped forever, likely cut off from his power. It would be the perfect time for a splinter group to think of going their own way.

Don’t act like you haven’t done any of the quests where the Imp and the Succubus ask you to go beat up their former masters. They aren’t some mindless ant hive.

Yeah I didn’t want Blue Elves and White Draenei either but here we are. Eredar at least had some history in WoW.

Nope. The original desecration of Draenor was Gul’dan. Do the outlands quests in SMV or look up the Hand of Gul’dan.

The Eredar - from what I know, is just the actual term for Draenei… The Man’ari are the ones you’re perhaps thinking of, which are the demonic corrupted Eredar that Blizz still refers to as Eredar to my knowledge. Though, I think the Man’ari Eredar are indeed cool, I’m unsure if I’d see it being a thing? Perhaps it might! I just know that they are technically the big bad guys helping in legion and am unsure if all of them were presumed to be moiduhed with legion during Legion.
