How is the RPG not canon?

The RPG was never considered canon. It was explictly non canon. The encyclopedia was officially canon. It’s not remotely the same thing.

According to a dev interview Ion gave several months ago, Blood Elves were originally unintended to have blue eyes in Shadowlands, but later on that decision was reversed following team discussions. If the art department was involved, what was the reasoning that led to blue eyes being added for Void Elves and Blood Elves?

This is another place where there was a race, High Elves, in the game which hadn’t really been represented on player characters. Blood Elves were the closest, but had felt green eyes. It was an opportunity where we had a number of elven races, and we could tie it back to their roots, letting players choose where they want to align and what fantasy to play out. We did have a lot of discussion about it, ultimately we might do more in the future, but for now we’re providing the option to have a few High Elf customizations available.

Wow art director Ely Canon. High Elf customization is on Void Elves. So, we’re gonna keep asking for it.

Can we hurry up and get this. Honestly, at least for the moment, I’d be satisfied with just this for a while. Of course, I’d still want natural hair styles down the line during Dragon Flight. I just want to stop turning this stupid purple color now. It ruins every mog it touches. It just does not look good. Just give us the toggle already. I’m sick of looking at it.

I’m pretty sure they would commit seppuku or suicide themselves from the pure agony, or the fact they look at themselves as abominations.

As someone who deals with chronic pain. Most of us don’t kill ourselves over it. And I didn’t choose the pain. Someone with faith in something greater than themselves openly to the pain with open arms wouldn’t kill themselves. They are willingly experiencing that. It’s pain but that pain is a remidner of the strength of their pain. Much like self-flagellation.

This is an misconception, there is more to paladins then just a priest in plate armor.

Last I checked the first war, the first paladins were literally just priests learned how to swing a sword and warriors who worshiped the light.

This whole “Infused with light magic” concept was effectively retconned into being an attribute of the Lightforged, not paladins.

Ya’ll crying “join the horde” are guna be real sad when Void Elves get pallies, and the High Elf dream comes closer to becoming true and the Horde dies as a faction.

I don’t know about permanent but I really love this idea. Give it a timer and the more procs you get over that time you just get its visual for longer and longer until it’s just there until you’re out of combat for some set time.

I’d argue that their Void empowerment is a stronger part of their racial traits than the tentacle hair though.

If they don’t get Void empowerment they are not Void Elves. Even Alleria turns with Void empowerment.

I can totally accept that but I would still want the permanent glowy skintones if not the racial to make my skintone permanently glowy because I really want that and the pink hair color for my Void Elf.
