Entitled dual-wielding/2H "tanks"

Warrior joins as DPS. First thing group leader asks, “Hey Bubba! Can you tank?” @@

This is when it became clear that this was total bs. Paladins don’t benefit much from spirit. Is it better than agility for healing? Sure. But the way Pally healing works, you’re not going to be standing around not casting outside the 5-second rule all that much. Especially not with some “OMG I’m so rage starved, I HAVE to dual wield!” tank-type that doesn’t understand innate threat values and/or how to use their defensive stance kit.

by blocking you mean the 50-100 damage blocks that happen 5% of the time at 60 outside of shield block usage? cause if you haven’t put points into prot and have no extra defense thats all you will have while leveling the only real use shields have is adding armor and procing revenge with shield block

Really? Healers dont benefit from mana regen? You do need spirit, lots of it, to heal leveling dungeons, especially if you don’t have much time to drink. Just toss 2 holy lights, you get pushed to 60-70% mana, autoattack and let it regen back to full mana before tank is 20-40% hp. Did you ever even heal in classic or what?

Hell I did it with ret talents and seal of command + verigan’s fist put me on top dps nearly every dungeon, while throwing heals whenever tank got low, rarely oom.

Don’t need tanks. I did all my dungeons with either 4 mages and priest or 3 mages 1 lock and priest while leveling.

Even in BRD / Strat / only reason we bring a plate Dps instead of just another mage or lock is cuz clothes can’t tank bosses but plate Dps can perfectly tank bosses.

Also they die faster. Healers wand spam on most bosses don’t even need to throw a heal lol

All of you people need to google fury tanking

Having healed several on my alt shaman, they are not that hard to heal, IDK what the issue is right now, I am using less than 10 waters per instance. It is pretty easy. Maybe when it gets into the 40s it might be an issue, but right now, in the 20s and 30s, it is not an issue at all to heal a tank that is using a 2h.

Then you aren’t really a tank

You’re wrong on so many levels. Spirit helps mana regeneration outside the 5-second rule ONLY. You’re not going to be just standing around not casting often as a Paladin. This is why crit and MP5 is so much more valuable as a Paladin, because Illumination and MP5 will take you infinitely further than spirit. Sorry, but you’re full of you know what.

Smells like troll in here…

Wait, are you not the person who went off on an escapade about why NOT to bring sub-par things to groups?

Change of heart?

Yeah you do use 5 second rule, unless you’re a really bad healer who spams heals constantly and drinks every pack. You heal your tank up and autoattack, letting your mana regen, that’s how you level up healing dungeons with ease.

Illumination is irrelevant sub 60, for most part.

You’re coming here talking about t2-t3 pala healing when topic is about dungeons, esp leveling dungeons.

It depends. sometimes healers are okay with being stressed out in the name of more dps.
however if its something above level 40 I feel as if a shield is the nice thing to do.

As soon as he started talking about needing to spec Prot to be able to tank, that’s when you know he is a troll.

Yeah I think he is, seen him on general forums defending LFR and so, he’s pretty new to WoW.
