Let me start by saying I’m sure it’s a me problem and I’m bad at it, but are Enhancement Shaman supposed to struggle while leveling in TBC classic? I boosted one and I tried to follow the talent and rotation guides I’ve seen on a few sites and I run out of mana after 1-2 mobs and it just feels like hard mode to kill anything. Do they get better?
do a sub resto spec and only shock when you proc. Leveling an enhance shaman is a lot of auto attacks. Also don’t drop your totems all the time unless you are going to pull back to them for multiple mobs. I would just shock on proc, auto attack, quick heal at the end and move on. No totems 99% of the time. Water shield is your friend.

What do you mean by sub resto spec?
get totemic mastery and the hit talents from the resto tree after your enhance tree is filled plus the totem range talent just for quality of life. The rest can go into ele after that

Good weapons are a big help.
The talent choices listed above are also great advice and I’d also say to spam Ramps for the Mail/Leather gear in there as it’s really good for Enh leveling.
Water Shield at level 62 is also a God send.

but yeah the main things are auto attacking, not wasting mana to kill things a little bit quicker, not dropping totems every mob, saving your mana for healing yourself to make less downtime.

2x axe of the deep woods will get you a long ways too and likely cheap or once you get to 62 get 2x fist of reckoning

Also have to remember that the boost gear is equal to about level 45-48 greens.

I found it pretty smooth, but I had double r14 axes, rest of my gear was pretty meh.
Main thing is don’t spam totems every mob, maintain water shield, try to only shock with the proc that reduces cost

you will suffer for a while until you get decked in outland greens or pay a visit to the AH

The only decent boosted gear are the weapons and trinkets. The rest is garbage.
Nope is all bad. I boosted this shaman and it was very rough in Hellfire. Almost die on each mob and had to drink each pull.

Yeah, that’s because your armour rating is trash, and your +stats on armour/accessories is super low.

Once you get shamanistic rage at 50 and then especially with water shield you basically never have to worry about mana again. Before that it can be a little slow and you’ll have to conserve like others said

You can buy a whole set of “of the bandit” gear for like 60g? Its the first thing you should do as a new boosted character

There’s your problem.
The boosted gear is AWFUL. Seriously, just go buy level 58 stam/strength mail (soldier is best). Have your main buy buff food, if you don’t have a main, go give your shaman some gathering professions and skill them up, sell what you gather. Then go buy gear/consumables.
Also, buy or make Hot Spicy Talbuk. +hit food is amazing at that level and +hit in general is amazing.
My Enhancement shaman is 64 and a beast, but that’s because she is geared and rocking two Legion Axes (they are so pretty).
