Enemy health scaling is out of control

This is not a new mechanic. Dragon Flight did this. It was introduced in BFA if I recall.

I havent completed the campaign yet, so not doing heroics yet, Pve Npcs seem normal if you have high 400-low 500 gear.
I think bliz was upset at everybody faceroling Dorn.
My only complaint is , the Dalaran scenario is a drudge now, because they strengthened those NPCs as well.

This.

In previous expansions, monsters scaled with ilevel only to a point.

Here, the scaling seems to be an ongoing thing. My character is ilevel 584 and dressed almost entirely in epics. Mobs are still going up in health each time I get a new piece of gear.

The big problem I have is that the enemies arenā€™t dangerous at all. They just have a metric sload of hp. So youā€™re sitting there just beating on them for 20 seconds till they fall over lol

Agreed but when you are squishy like my mage you start to sweat. Cause now you and that last mob are at even terms. You are almost dead and it somehow still has half its HP left

No Iā€™m not exaggerating it happened to me yesterday and I died for a stupid mycobloom. That same set of mobs I killed quicker at a lower Ilvl

this was the exact problem we warned blizzard was gonna happen with scaling before they implemented it and all the ā€œBUT I WANT TO LEVEL WITHOUT OUTLEVELING THE ZONEā€ people screamed us down. this dish of i told you so is so delicious.

Killing mobs by looking in their general direction isnā€™t fun, and weā€™re going to end up there anyhow. If you were already at that point with the lowest tier of max-level gear where would there be to go for the rest of the expansion? Have it so instead of just deleting local packs with 1-2 key clicks you kill every mob in the entire zone?

and spending 3 minutes to barely kill a mob isnt fun either.

You arenā€™t spending 3 minutes to barely kill a mob. With ~578 ilvl I down rares in about 30 seconds. I know this with quite a bit of accuracy because my demons last about 30 seconds and I kill the rares in around the amount of time they take to expire.

Iā€™m sorry what? If they are of no risk to me. Killing them with ease is more fun than whatever it is players want.

It is just a waste of time making them live long.

Itā€™s not a waste of time having the mobs live long enough to actually pull off some of your rotation on them. Itā€™s not a waste of time having the scaling such that you progress in the overworld over the course of the expansion instead of immediately capping out at instakill terminator mode within the first two weeks.

What would be a waste of time is having mobs that you can obliterate without a thought. At that point you might as well just not have mobs at all.

It takes me a full rotation at least now and occasionally my oh crap why arenā€™t you dead yet. 70% of the time it seems Iā€™m better off fighting rares than packs. At least then I know Iā€™m gonna be a little sweaty. But in no way should I be as worried about mobs as I do going into a fight with rares.

I donā€™t mind some scaling. However, in my opinion it currently doesnā€™t feel right.

This is the added value for the Pre-order legendary buyers. They didnā€™t have to deal with scaling factors. Once that window was closed, right after the reset they put in scaling.

So, in short, Donā€™t be poor and buy the legendary expansion to get in before the ā€œFixesā€ are up.

What it sounds like to me.

try getting enough KP from skinning - it took me 3 hours of killing things.

This crap and the bugs keep happening I will ā€˜fixā€™ the problems with this game permanently and just uninstall it.

its funny to see people think this is a new phenomenon or something. this is how things have been since scaling was first introduced. the bigger the numbers get, the bigger the issue becomes. thats probably the real reason for the stat squish in the past.

the mobs scale with your level and when you hit cap, the scale with your item level. of course there is an eventual breaking point where the mobs cap out but thats not gonna happen for a little while.

Nope, in Korthia mob health was the same for all of my alts of different item levels.

i have had no issues at all the whole expansion outside The Dawnbreaker. Tho i can kind of guess the skill level of players complaining at the moment.

Yeah than have gone full Woke and catering to the Horde yet again by giving them yet again another alliance race. Dwarves being in the horde is beyond a slip from European fantasy genre. Dwarves have always fought Orcs. Not this that but this alphabet & D&I pushing the last few expansions is ridiculous. Iā€™ve been playing WoW on and off since year one Vaannila and it has gotten political, agenda pushing, and biased as well. Taking away long standing emotes due to over sensitive snowflakes. This new expansion was already ridiculous to begin with when the trash mobs died quickly, leveling to fast, and trash gear replacement thta wasnā€™t an upgrade. New devs are probally a bunch of man hating feminists or gay man women. They enjoy replacing all the high seat men with females and cutting down on men. They shafted wrathion from his hard earned aspect role and put many top end male NPCā€™s in that background and not part of the stories. Not just that they whimppified Anduin and made him seem effeminate now and his new hair style sucks.

are you lost? i think you want the democratized storytelling thread aisle 7.
