Enemy health scaling is out of control

This expansion is quickly turning into a pile of crap. My character is wearing almost all heroic dungeon gear and basic open world enemies survive much longer than they should. Its making everything take way longer than it should. It’s as boring as watching paint dry.

Blizzard cares more about “time played” metrics then they do making a fun game. Their game has always been designed around making you waste time playing the game. Other MMO’s don’t have this issue.

I’ve already dropped my subscription and its staying that way. I was going to at least play this expansion, since I spent the money, before quitting permanently, as i’ve grown tired of their crap. At this rate I’m just going to end up uninstalling after I run the first raid a few times.

It’s so sad and frustrating that everyone’s hard work making the world is ruined by a few idiots. The world designers, quest designers, music folks all do great work and its completely squandered by idiot executives and game directors who make bad decisions. They just can’t let people have fun.

I’ve noticed that even after you hit 80, monsters continue scaling up based on your ilevel.

My evoker is now 584 and I feel no stronger than I felt compared to when I first hit 80, simply due to monster health constantly rising.

A typical non-elite now has 2.6 mil health. Ugh!

Is that what is happening? I thought I was losing my mind

It was the same in DF, and pretty sure SL before that, if not further back… They continue scaling with ilvl at max level up to a certain point. Can’t have you feeling to strong against those little bumblebees till you’re in epics.

You are correct. There is an unknown world content scaling cap based on ilvl, and it has been that way for at least the last 2 X-packs.

Here’s a thread of people complaining about it around DF launch

This is wrong. In DF you could kill all the open world mobs quickly and it felt good because of your gear from heroics/m+/raiding. This is absolutely taking forever to do world quests, world events. I can’t believe it scales with your ilvl now…wtf!!!

Right, when that stuff releases its easy to overcome the cap. But just like the DF launch, its very noticeable when all you have is low level gear from rep, world content, and normal dungeons.

I mean, it might be a bit more harsh in TWW…but it was in DF all the same.

I hope they get it, that its not fun. Nobody wants to feel weak all the time and prefer to avoid mobs rather than fight them. IT ISN’T FUN. Someone needs to drive it home for them. The game is about HAVING FUN. If its not fun, people will quit.

But people are saying the health actually scales with ilvl?? So what when you have 615+ ilvl… will it keep scaling?

Then I guess it’s convenient that two out of those three aren’t available yet.

I don’t know why we have to go through this song and dance at the start of every expansion. Is it really that hard to figure out that “gearing your character is the whole point of max level content?” And that if you were as strong as a fresh 80 as you were as a mythic-geared 70, it would be counterproductive?

Is anyone else having weird BfA vibes from 2018 or is it just me? I feel like i went back in time on these forums.

No. Because as I mentioned in my post, there is an unknown cap. So at some point it just stops scaling. If I had to guess its around the LFR ilvls

Take off your wrists and see if it changes things.

Ever since they added level cap scaling the game got frustrating for me. What would happen is that i would level cap, quit a year, then come back after the base ilevel drops are well past the scaling ilevel cap. In lieu of that I would prolly just gear enough on mains and farm any content that doesnt scale to 70 or 80.

Nothing like getting exponentially weaker as you level up :expressionless:

yeh, I feel like rage quitting again. Honestly, this scaling of quest mobs is so much unfun.

You have to wonder who is steering the ship.

This makes me happy, Now having crappy gear and focus on just crafting makes the game better for me. ty blizzard.

Not as bad as trying to watch an episode of The Rings Of Power, and have some stupid ad for TWW come on and ruin it
