Enemy health scaling is out of control

Ill give it a try tomorrow- my bed time.

It looks everywhere. Even void storage.

They put that code in as far back as BFA. If that item exists, they will find it. and will count it to score.

From my brief testing, it does check the bank.

Blizzard: ok, sorry to heard that, thnks for buying the xpack and not playing, thats a relief on the servers at this time, see ya soon! you will be back

btw, it is a skill issue, on my paladin I have like half gear slots with heroic gear and I kill mobs on like 3 hits

I guess the game right now should be if you have an 80, report your iLevel, and the health of some nearby trash mobs. See what kind of data we get.

Anecdotally, I never felt I had to struggle on Piddy here once I reached max level in BfA, SL, or DF. There were moments at 79, and, of course, very early 80, but a day or two of WQs, and it was off to the races.

Could be a warlock thing.

lol
I actually died running a quest after they fixed stuff
first time in forever. Loved it.

Nope. i didnt feel the same. When i was still gearing up from Normal dungeons, there were some Rares where i barely beaten who almost killed me and i had to use a potion to refill my hp to full health. Now, i am mostly geared with Heroic dungeon gear, i destroyed the same rares without using a potion and they damaged me only for quarter of my health.

Before, i limit myself to 1 elite 80 at a time. Now i can handle 3 at a time. I am way powerful now than before. Thats why i am more qualified now to do Heroic Dungeons than before.

Skill issue.

I remember a simpler time, When if you unequipped it
 Boomm it didn’t calculate it.

I also remember the even simpler time before the stupidity of iLvl scaling even existed. Those were the good days. When you could actually progress your character. When you got gear and felt more powerful. Instead of now
Where the stupidity exists of “If it lasted 10-15 seconds before, then we still want it to last just about that long after you get upgrades.”

I just want the gear I get to matter again. Instead I feel punished for getting better gear. Get better gear, world becomes that much more of a slog. Stay at worse gear, world is still a slog. So I’m punished either way. What a great system.

Edit: Make Gear Matter Again. Remove the stupidity of iLvl scaling, or nerf it to the ground. We’re talking if it’s currently doing .01 increase of health per iLvl, make it .0000000000000000000000001 instead.

Yep.

I’ve created a thread and found a random non-elite quest mob to check over here if we want to keep it in a centralized place:

Well I could bring a 70 alt just to scope its hp. I’m guessing pathfinder on this toon works for my alts too. I’ll be able to check its hp safely.

Can I have your teeth? I have dredger friends in Revendreth who are always asking.

It happened in Legion when they first started ilevel scaling (which was snuck into the game unannounced).

Players running WQ (which was a big part of Legion content with the map full of WQ that reset daily and dropped items that could titanforge to high level) players noticed jumps in enemy HP after a patch but comparing it with others got different results.

A bit of experimenting and players figured out that removing items that didn’t add a lot to power but which pushed up average ilevel like rings could reduce or drop the scaling.

So of course they didn’t drop scaling, they just made it more difficult to avoid (items have to be deleted to no longer count for scaling).

“No” because there is an “unknown cap”.
Seems legit.

I remember that day. I wish one day we could move away from this stupidity, but, until the certain someone who made the comment of “We want combat to last just as long after as it does before upgrades” finally leaves
 it probably won’t happen.

I call BS.

Really, you are whining about it taking too long to kill stuff, say you’ve unsubscribed, and are going to run the first raid A FEW TIMES? Why a few times? Trying to get gear upgrades you won’t use since you are pretend-quitting?

Now that I see and live the old days
I don’t get this change.

OMG, the level cap still in “crap” gear is mowing down the open world. World has ended.

Not really. Hell they made crafting such an overcomplicated cluster its not the old days where at level cap you turned to mass animal extinctions for skins as you waited for dungeon/raid pick up lol.

Retail made that not as effective as it used to be imo.

Legends have it that this certain persons guildmates were “complaining” about how easy doing stuff in the open world was as compared to doing grouped content and that due to the rewards the open world was giving “nobody” wanted to do grouped instanced content.

So, being in the position they were/are in
Boom badabing. Scaling came out to make everything more difficult so that you feel more pressured to go into instanced group content to attempt to outlevel it to be able to do things in the overworld faster and actually have player agency.

Sadly, due to the stupidity it is
at a flip of a switch what was powerful yesterday
can become mediocre today.

There needs to be a happy medium between having scaling, and not having it make everything a slog regardless of how good of iLvl you get. If they truly want to keep this mechanic in their metaphorical toolkit.

And in the future, they definitely need to do a better job of developing leveling content so that the stupidity of needing iLvl scaling for said leveling experience is never needed. It’s never been needed before yesterday. Let alone, you’re character shouldn’t feel bad until you’re theoretically mythic+ geared. They won’t even tell us what the break even point is, so that us as players know what metaphorical mountain we need to climb to make our characters feel how they should.
