That’s not accurate.
Idk why. But it’s not.
On lightninghoof, horde, I can be in queue for an hour and when I get a BG it’s a loss.
On proudmore or firetree as alliance, it’s minutes and about 50/50.

There is not battlegroups or things like that anymore. Everyone is mixed. Only things that dont mix are US and EU, afaik.
Im assuming you have a max level character and arent actually playing a lvl 60, but if you are playing at 60, that will also make your queue times much longer…
Weird considering Horde queues at the moment are faster than Alliance queues. Are we talking max level queues or leveling queues? I can’t speak for queues at lower levels, but for max level, the queues are pretty fast for battlegrounds, regardless of server (besides maybe Oceanic)
Edit: Going to assume you’re talking about leveling queues… Since I see that you only seem to have a lvl 60 and a level 71 for some reason? But yeah man, get to max level. Stop basing your opinions on leveling experience. I could go into all the reasons why low level PvP, for both BGs and WM, are dead. None of which though have anything to do with servers or WM itself.
Both. I leveled two characters alliance in BGs on firetree. I haven’t finished leveling my horde characters because it’s so slow.
This is not accurate
Ah, sorry, I used check PvP to see your toons and only two showed up. Consider posting on your max levels, helps to be less confusing. Battleground queues at max level, on Horde atleast, are about 2-4 minutes (prime times)
At night, around 9:00PM PST, queues can take anywhere between 4-10 minutes from my experience.
The best and funnest world pvp experience I’ve had so far has been on CS on SoD, a pvp server. Large scale pvp at every dungeon/raid entrance and outside some cities and most contested zones. Been a blast
This is why retail needs to reintroduce some pvp servers. I think they would be very popular.
Classic is another thing that made war mode, especially Emerald Dream, feel dead. A large portion of the people that wpvp switched over and never came back.
I have to agree with you there. It def took players from the small portion that pvp in retail. But that’s just it… they didn’t want war mode.
Blizz is very afk at the moment for TWW for PvP. Dang shame.
No sharding and no chromie time? Could work.
So maybe if they introduced pvp servers again to modern it would incentivize some players to try something else besides classic
Since they nerfed the gold from World Quests war mode isnt event worth turning on to do Dragon Riding quests on my alt arm.
I just sit semi afk in capitol cities waiting for queues to pop or groups to form.
Does war mode scale up PVP gear? Cause that might be enough for those who don’t have any PVE gear when doing dailies.
I also like the bloody token system for catching alts up in PVP gear. I feel some of my alts have better PVP gear than my main now because of it.
When you engage in PvP combat or when you’re in one of the PvP FFA zone, it’ll scale the gear up.
To that end I think having BIS ilvl gear doing world content is worth it for us PVPers.
Idk world pvp in general is kind of lame. Its gank or be ganked. Adding bloody tokens is great push for that Tarren mill brawl feel if that is what you are after. IDK people just complaining for the sake of complaining.
Forcing people to be in PVP outside of the world is not going to magically make them want to go out more lol. If anything they gonna turtle inside cities more.
Emerald Dreamers know all about that.
Hell them only going out when they were in large groups is part of the reason people wanted off of PVP realms and a way to opt out of it.
It’s mostly people who are mistakenly blaming War Mode for the “death” of WPvP. They’re nostalgia chasers who remember “the good ol’ days” of WPvP on PvP servers and fail to recognize that before War Mode was even implemented, WPvP was already starting to die by the time they added cross realm zone and other sharding capabilities.
When all of that was added in MoP, and later expanded upon in following expansions, people were already opting out of PvP servers by being invited to a group from players on PvE servers. People were already opting out of PvP servers and faction imbalance already existed on a majority of servers, such as Sargeras, Stormrage, Tichondrius, Bleeding Hollow, Area 52, etc.
War Mode just standardized what people were already doing. Blizzard figured if people were already using cross realm to escape from a PvP server because they didn’t want to be on it, they were going to allow them to just opt out of it instead of going through extra steps.
War Mode is a good idea on paper but was implemented poorly and was never updated really. They need to fix sharding and make the world feel less separated.
With the 20th anniversary coming I hope to see all of you folks complaining about War Mode being desolate out and about!
You dont really have an excuse the rest of the time, (unless you’re on a dead realm), especially if you are Horde. With War Crates being prime PVP objectives to fight over…
But starting today there will be World Bosses added for the 20th anniversary. Load up your crew and go hold them down for your faction in Warmode… As Horde im sure you will have more people to fight than you can gather against…
I know that requires actually playing the game and turning on the thing you’re critiquing, (warmode) but give it a shot for once.
Yes. That’s what I’m after. Where? Where is this? I will go right now.
