I think it’s just people not expecting to hit that wall of difficulty so early on in the grind. It can be hard to tell sometimes what you did wrong when someone outplays you so fluidly that you don’t even know where to begin fixing your issues
Same system as last time and it is fine.
there was an insane amount of boosting back then, it just wasn’t usually done for gold and they usually weren’t self-plays so cr/mmr went up so fast (because there wasn’t dead weight on the team) you wouldn’t see the booster teams for long
probably isn’t that much boosting (im guessing, I dont play it) in modern classic because not that many people play it
I want the old MMR system back so that way I dont get crushed back to back by boosters carrying people up to glad. Those people would be up high in the ratings and everyone else getting rating would never encounter them.

there was a 5s team qing literally yesterday that had 4 rank 1s and a nobody on it at 1500 yesterday in classic
usually the carries done these days are at the mmr that they are at is because they deserve to be at that mmr and are losing a lot of their games. everytime someone is losing “because its a boost”, the booster team is losing because they are getting crushed for having a weak link on their team
I think you’d have to ask for the system back where ppl account share if you want their mmr to go up so quick that you never seent em

Not possible. Rank 1 and gladiator are two different things. You cannot be a rank 1 with only 1500 MMR. All Rank 1s are gladiators, but not all gladiators are Rank 1s. If they did not have the specialized feat of Strength calling them a rank 1, then they were not that. Seeing a rank 1 in Classic would be super rare but seeing 4 of them back to back would be mathematically impossible.

having a rank 1 title equipped signifies u as a rank 1 and four of the five players had a rank 1 title equipped and the fifth was a literal nobody

Ratings in retail are not comparable to ratings in Classic. Getting them in Classic is much more difficult. I see people who have been playing since Vanilla, have glad over 2 dozen times, and yet have zero title ratings from the older MMR system ratings.
If you were truly at the level of pushing back to back Rank 1s in original TBC and WOTLK then the entire forum would know who you are because that is the type of stuff that Atehne got famous for doing.
Classic does not equal retail. One is bad and the other is worse. But they are not the same.

See you are going to post a screenshot of a full team of feat of strength Rank 1s that were above all the other gladiators there and who you encountered at a 1500 rating? Thay would mean they were FARMING you. Not there facing you having a struggle with you.
In 2015, they changed the MMR system.
And they seem to think I am saying they are not good. Not saying that even if it sounds like that, system has changed. I want it back now to how it used to be back then. With 5v5 arenas back and old arena system back.

Coming from the person who LIED about facing an entire group of rank 1s in classic and said they were going to show proof… but didnt. You didnt go up against 4 rank 1s in Classic at 1500 rating.
Your aware that they begin the counter at 1500 even when you are lower for the achievements and it will auto show that as your highest CR in stats when you do play some game and even in game it will sometimes show that.
Cuz it didnt happen as I said.

And if you knew it was an actual boost you would have reported it to Blizz. Not made drama on the forums here. You got wrecked by a legit team and got so embarrassed that you decided to make up lie and say you got wrecked by a group of 4 rank 1 boosters. Thats what happened.
And some brand new guy popping into a full team of R1s would not auto put that boosted in the same MMR as the rest of them. he would have 0 CR with a bunch of R1s with massive CR.
