The damn weapon oils require a rare blue drop, not something you can grind reliably or gather.
They did, and used their spreadsheets to tell them the rarity of such item drops to achieve that gold cost ⌠all aimed at boosting Blizzardâs RMT department.
Sell the things that are pricey and you donât need to buy wow tokens. Or pay $20 for gold and complain about it on the forums.
Your third paragraph can cost anywhere from 10k to 50k, depending. Enchanting vs tailoring even, Im cranking out recipes as a tailor left and right, and (as a paladin who DEs them for every expansion so far) Im suddenly coming up short with what used to be a decent source of enchanting mats if my quest rewards and dungeon drops dont get me there.
That aint the case anymore. Enchanting is 10 dust for 1 enchant where previous xpaxs itd be 3-4, and the reducing rate matched that. Crushing one storm crystal should be 10+ dust, outright before any knowledge is spent.
It just seems like Blizzard found away to boost token sells without making it look like they are pushing token sells through professions. Just look at the price of vendor mats and how many are needed to make something.
You donât need to have max rank gems and enchants. R1 & 2 are cheap. They will eventually go down in price but for now they are going to be expensive. It cost a lot to level crafting and some of us need to make up for it.
Blacksmiths got it good. They are making bank selling materials.
Thatâs a bit of an over exaggeration isnât it? Youâre giving the total for full rank 3 enchants and gems. Why would you put rank 3 enchants and gems in gear unless you were pushing mythic, or high keys?
99% of players will not have any reason to spent that much gold on their enchants. The rank 2 ones will be 1/4th of the cost, if even, and be more than enough.
15+ year vet here. This is typical for the start of an xpac in the current model. Prices will start to fall off around midway through the patch then remain cheap for the rest of the xpac. Have a good day
You donât have to fully max. This is not a game requirement. Two solutions: 1) roll a JC/Enchanter & start up the Profession trees or 2) join a guild where this stuff is cheap. A third option is not to be impatient, but you blew past that at 350k ago.
It was terrible in DF and some how Blizzard managed to make it 10x worse in TWW.
The disenchanting part? If you donât already have things to disenchant you can buy TWW greens fairly cheap. If you level another crafting profession you can just disenchant the greens and blues you made from doing that. I think you can reach the knowledge to hit rank 3 enchants with rank 2 mats without doing that. I bought greens earlier this week for 270g each I think.
I also buy cheap profession tools for alts under 1k each typically. Often 500gish for some.
If you canât afford to level say a blacksmith (because bismuth is expensive) you could just mine on something else and level blacksmithing with your own mats.
There is no Blizzard arbitration saying âyou must post mats at X priceâ though, it is at the end of the day entirely player-driven. Players are posting things at these prices because other players are buying them at these prices and regardless of how ârareâ or âin demandâ something might be it will always be the players performing these actions.
tldr: you are poor because relative to other players, you are poor.
Use old enchants and gems til they come down, just use something
Go back to when tokens where introduced, look at all the posts that every person on the forum downvoted and called them fearmongers and tinfoil hat conspiracy theories.
Now look at wow, emm hmm.
Even rank 1 enchants are pushing 10k gold. Itâs all expensive.
Enchants and gems are often expensive for that expansion at launch
those prices are dictated & controlled by ah goblins. there are legit discords of them discussing what to set prices at.
Im saying tokens in the overall picture.
If anyone can say this inflation is not working in favor for blizzard and token sales, then i honestly feel bad for that person and envy there ignorance.
prices will go down after WFR
I mean, the trend is the same as before tokens, just the numbers across the board are higher, but that also includes gold income
