Enchants and Gems are way too expensive this expansion

I work hard for my money in game and irl. It feels good when I’ve made enough gold to buy a bis enchant and still have gold leftover for normal expenses. Just like having that extra irl to buy a new car or take a nice vacation. I can farm for an hour herbing mining and digging and come out with 50-100k gold. Those who say it’s too expensive don’t do enough content to accumulate wealth.
If you want to succeed in the game you’re gonna have to do more than the bare minimum and if you just want to breeze by, go on welfare or go in LFR where nobody cares what enchants you have.
I’m enjoying the wow economy now so please don’t ruin it for me and others with your special snowflake complaining.

Go check out Wotlk classic, Look what the token did.

Those are old school economies, charging wacko prices.

Like frostweave bags, for 200 400 600 gold each.

They where 30 gold back in the day. they are still capped on gold they are still the same mechanics, the only thing that changed was a token.

it has had that same effect here driving prices to enrich the the goldsellers.

edit forgot they are onto cata now, but im sure the numbers are 5- 10x what they should be. Im sure whatever embersilk is prolly goofy overpriced.

I played both, they were exactly what we expected, that was before the token even like in tbc, things are expensive when they are sought after

So. 5 hours of mining worth of effort?

If you’re unwilling to farm anything for gold, why does that automatically mean that they must lower the price somehow?

Comparing real wow with classic is fools errand. People in the original game were for the most part, not chain running strat on their paladin for metric tons of raw gold.

They didn’t have mages pulling all of mara 24/7 and injecting tons of gold into the economy. They didn’t have all of that gold floating around, so prices reflected that.

Spent 5800g on a gem for a socketed 603 ring from a delve yesterday.

Only to realize AFTER I socketed it that is the exact same ring I got from the vault this week so I couldn’t replace it cause the non socketed is hero track.

Feels bad man.

There was a 100k gold per hour tailoring cloth farm but I’m sure it’ll get nuked from orbit soon:

Pretty sure that’s been dead for days now. Content creators are rarely good at making gold, they usually hear from someone else about X, and post a video about it around the same time it’s already on the chopping block.

Relying on YouTube/reddit to make gold will almost make certain that you don’t make gold. If it’s in the eyes of low effort people, the farm is already bad/nerfed.

Blizzard has never advertised that you have to have R3 quality consumables and enchants less than a month into the expansion. People demanding the absolute best right now rather than working for them is what makes them expensive. It’s called supply and demand.

Its all relative - people look at the #s related to the cost of these and go wow geeze that’s expensive. But then they ignore that they can make 75k to 150k an hour with very minimal investment upfront and with no cost except their time. If you can’t be bothered to spend time to farm your gold then you were gong to be buying wow tokens either way regardless of the expense. Consumables, enchants, etc were never something you passively just afforded while running dungeons or raids on re-wind.

We used to farm most of the week to pay for or craft the consumables for our weekly raids. Nothings changed in that regard.

Solheim and studen generally are good

Anyone trying to sell you a sekret gold making guide for real money, is a grifter in my book.

Nothing you could put in book form, is going to advantage you more than just lurking something like wow economy to see what worked for other people, and extrapolating that to current content.

To each their own

The video claimed that it was still working as of yesterday (and addressed the claims that it was nerfed saying they were false) but it definitely seems like something they would nerf eventually. Maybe they’ll add a cooldown to how quickly you can re-queue into follower dungeons.

Sometimes that’s true but guides on concentration gold making all still work. I can buy rank 2 mats and make rank 3 enchants with concentration on alts and it’s a profit still.

Concentration in general opened up a lot of opportunities for people to make quick easy gold every so often on alts if they wanted to.

Or just mining if you don’t want to do anything complicated. Null stones continue to be absurd in price.

Hahahahaha “I’m not going to educate myself”

Player driven to a point. Most of it has to do with rarity of mats. And blizzard controls that.

Blizzard made the giant mistake of making drops lower, material costs higher, repair costs higher, transmog costs higher, so people are trying to milk it for raids. Even your looking like 50k min for a raid run, few hundred k in enchants, really seems like new Blizzard head is trying to milk the player base for WowTokens, but the idea of dropping $15-$30 min per raid week to play in wowtokens in addition to monthly fee is a horrible buisness model. 500k-1mil bank tabs. Should be criminal. There is a team responsible for the economy of the game that isnt doing their jobs. But messing over the player base to increase token sales, when most the player base is broke in reality. We may be broke but we aren’t stupid.

High prices are good. Got about 2 years worth of game time so far.

Should try pvp dude have legit made a million gold just q’ing and having fun not to mention war crates and bounties r op af with all the bloodstones and patterns. Sure stuff may be expensive but gold is just literally thrown at u this xpack just gotta go grab it and grind a bit.
