Enchants and Gems are way too expensive this expansion

Spent 1.65m on a BOE today.

(Why not?)

I’m happy if they keep paying me 24-28k for a chest enchant

I just use Buzzing Runes. They give the same amount of Crit and Haste is a worthless stat.

Delves do actually.

I stopped putting real effort into my professions around wotlk. Until Dragonflight I pretty much never sold anything on the auction house.

Now in tww I’ve become hooked on professions and auctions for the first time.

I’ve spent prob a few hundo thousies on professions/gear/stuff but I’ve made somewhere between 500-600k? (haven’t actually tracked). I’ve given my mate truckloads of bismuth to get his smithing up. I’ve been bugging my other mate to teach me how to make my enchanting profitable. I even levelled a druid 71-80 just herbing and mining and it was comfy.

It’s small fish to anyone who’s been engaged in this stuff before but for me that’s huge.

Is that better than the flat damage proc one for tanks?

You mean the whetstone that costs a nullstone to make?

I’m good.

It’s been like that since DF, and the need to talent into the “right” choices to make the most of your profession.

Only a few people with the optimal choices (and recipes) = monopoly.

Spending 30-45k on weapon enchants is the new normal.

WoWtokens clearly make this easier. :expressionless:

Things like weapon enchants are region-wide.

There is no monopoly.

Semi-related:

Whetstones seem way out of whack on the AH. Don’t have a blacksmith so I’m wondering if the mats for them are just ridiculous.

It feels like a repeat of the Elemental Lariat if you ask me.

Even if it is region-wide, it’s still super-expensive for most players.

I feel like everyone who isn’t rich in WoW is being actively punished for not having several gold-capped alts, or playing the AH with addons.

If you don’t do those two things, you’ve just gotta settle for crappier enchants.

PvP doesn’t really make money at all lol, yet I still need to buy the same enchants as everyone else. It blows.

id like better gold sources than gathering
the other places give way little payout
like really low. i don’t think it was this low in df or sl lol.

It really wasn’t. I stopped doing skyriding races because the payout is a joke compared to what it was in DF.

We went from like 1k to like 180g lol.

There’s still too much gold in the economy, but this is just hurting everyone else.

There’s nothing they can do to drain the wallets of goblins, no matter how much they try. Brutosaur was merely a small tax for them.

Guess all that early access was worth it for those that made bank.

No, Deep Toxins.

some delve reagents, a blue crystal and some dust.

Most people dont play this game as an economy sim.

I honestly wish they’d just debase gold entirely.

Let me buy enchants with honor or resonance crystals or something, lmao.

The players are simply asking for too much.

Ironclaw Whetstones are 100% Ironclaw free.

They use null stones and core alloy. They’d be so much cheaper if they actually used ironclaw.

It’s not the players. It’s Blizzard making everything super expensive/time consuming to make this expansion.

ur not aiming 8/8M like liquid or echo?

Well yeah, the players behavior is only the result of whatever systems Blizzard has made.

I hate it, it’s blatantly gotten worse since DF. The prices of things.

Wondering if there’s gonna be some legendary this expansion that’s gonna cost a buttload of gold to make like Fyr’alath
 of course there is.

I remember when they’d just drop, or be a part of a questline lol. Legendaries that required actual crafting are somewhat rare.
