Enchants and Gems are way too expensive this expansion

EVERYTHING requires silly amounts of materials to make in this xpac.

I never pay that much for anything
I’ll just not enchant or gem if it’s too expensive.

People need to look at the actual benefit of going from R2 enchants/consumables to R3.

I assure you, you’re not playing at a level where an extra 100 mastery or whatever on your flask is worth paying 5x the price.

I’m a big fan of the Dragonflight crafting revamp. And the current state of crafting in general.

But some of the Dragonflight recipes were clearly made by somebody whose brain was unplugged.

The 1-hour consumable whetstones require A NULL STONE to craft? Are you kidding me?

That’s why my gear isn’t enchanted yet, not even my weapon. I need to get to an actual point where my gear is suitable for enchanting and since we play Hamster Wheel progression now, you have no idea when is the right time, you basically just have to pull the trigger and waste gold.

Because the weekly created some demand and once the weekly isn’t asking for null stones the demand will once again go down, and the supply
Remains the same and continues to grow.

It’s the very basics of supply and demand. As people gear up the ‘demand’ for enchants goes up but once more people are geared out with Hero/Myth track gear or whatever BiS they can achieve is at, the demand for enchants will diminish. It’s kind of like this every single expansion, I remember buying an enchant for 40k in an early week, only for it to have dropped down to 4k within a few months or the obsidian cobrascale for the dracothyst armguards
That’s just how the WoW economy goes, supply will continuously go up and the demand will continuously go down over time when it comes to things like permanent enchants, mats for crafted gear, etc.

You want it you buy it  , you have no gold ?? then you don’t want it :rage:

i agree
i probably wont even make it into anything “endgame”
i started a new account recently and after getting a couple toons to max and getting fully honor geared and ready to start actually doing content
i was looking at some of the costs of everything. I have like 30k gold on the entire account. in order for me to get all the stuff i would need i would literally have to sit here all day everyday farming and playing the ah
no thank you. its just silly honestly, particularly when i know all that work is going to be invalidated in three months. just, no. not gonna do it

its a damn shame i would love to play the game but working for hours and hours to play for minutes to have to do it all over again is just a crap game design and business model. the devs clearly dont think about this stuff at all.

They do, they want you to swipe your credit card. They won’t buff rates of null stones or whatever to make it more affordable when they are raking in cash. Sub price and expansion cost isn’t enough for them apparently.

The null stone rate gets buffed once all the miners have max points in Bismuth, Aqirite, and Ironclaw. Because then they get full stones instead of shards.

Have you thought about participating in the economy?

They literally made whetstones more affordable by upping craft rate.

2k gold per. 2 weapons. 4k gold an hour for temporary enchants. LOL defend them more.

When things are expensive, it’s easy to make gold. Have made 25m this expac so far I think?

People just want to buy everything without participating and are surprised that stuff is expensive.

Good for you. Average person probably is net ±200k

Average player probably can’t even do LFR.

Hey, if mana oils require a tinderbox for some reason, it would at least be fair.

Idk what you are arguing. The fact is the main game, raiding, mythic+, delves, etc does not make you ANY money. You can either fly around like a bot mining/herbing or swipe. Blizzard knows what they are doing and just cause you have the mental fortitude to do the most boring content in the game, doesn’t mean everyone else wants to. It isn’t fun at all.

Have you considered playing a game that doesn’t have any crafting involved?

Like even Diablo 4 has its own version of crafting, and everything’s account bound there.

The same people who spent hundreds of thousands in shadowlands to upgrade their legendary by one notch for that sweet, sweet 50-100 dps.
