Employee Fired For Writing Dialogue For Venture Company Loot Goblins

So even MORE pathetic, you’re just wasting time defending peoples’ whiny bosses. Lol.

In most situations, you’re correct.

But not when that person is your boss and has the ability to fire you, especially when you’re working in an ‘at will’ state where you can be fired for literally any reason and there is often zero legal recourse after you’ve been terminated.

How is it debatable? Please explain.

There also seems to be a disconnect in your argument between how things are and how things should be. In this case, all you’re doing is just saying how things work without providing any introspection as to whether “the way things are” are wrong or not, which is what most people here are arguing.

Did he get fired for the jab? Yeah. Should he have been fired for the jab? I don’t think so. It wasn’t malicious or direct. If you disagree, please tell me why.

The other 20 who think they should :poop: talk at their employers have never worked in a corporation/big company before

You have a code of conduct you follow for working under said company

All the corporate bootlicking up in here. It’s not surprising, since y’all do it for crappy game design too, but this is definitely extra low.

You can imagine that every employer is as universally hated and spiteful as Bobby is. In real life, not everyone is looking for yes men and retaliating against those who bring bad news. In real life, firing the messenger bringing bad news has resulted in a lot of companies going down. I think he will have no trouble finding a new job, probably with a higher salary and better working conditions.

“Common sense” is the last refuge of those who need to simplify complex situations down to a single cause and a single effect, because they are not capable of understanding how nuance works. Or because they think they can manipulate others into believing something they know is not true. But hey, you do you.

Not so much ‘corporate bootlicking’ as it is pointing out that people need to have a modicum of common sense.

You cannot mock your boss, or your boss’s boss, at your workplace and expect to keep your position at said company. That’s not how the world works for any job unless you’re really good friends with said boss or boss’s boss. Then you might have a bit of leeway, but even then, that special relationship shouldn’t be abused with public blasts that visible to millions of people.

Which is why I said above:

yeah truth

He did something with the venture co characters in the lore. it was the managers decision to choose whether Bobby shared the same qualities with a goblin.

LOL. The minions hired to be yes men do not mock their boss. His true friends have their jobs because they are his friends, not because they have any sort of competence.

Venture co has NEVER owned a yacht only gallywix and the Bilgewater cartel

Pertinent bit being:
Its model is reused in several occasions, such as at Bladefist Bay, for a Venture Company boat on the Jeweled Coast or for a Bilgewater one near the Dredge in Darkshore.

So yes, there are multiple in game.

There’s a sunken ship in the jeweled coast, storm song valley

That’s not the same yacht LOL

Thankyou

Pleeeaase either have a nap and come back refreshed enough to bring some points that aren’t “Respect your sir boss man”.

Same model is same model, if there is more then one wreck, there is more than one that has existed, and would still exist that just has not been seen.

It’s a SAIL SHIP, it doesn’t have the same yacht features of a goblin head at the front

They are not the same

The only thing complex here are the mental gymnastics you’re doing to get around acknowledging what happened: an employee said something dumb on social media and it bit them in the rear.

The goblins’ craftiness and greed make them masters of mercantilism. Reforging old pacts with their one-time allies, the goblins of the Bilgewater Cartel have been welcomed into the Horde. Honing their inherent cunning to a razor’s edge, the goblins hope to use their explosive inventions to rule the world – or at the very least own a profitable percentage of it.

Both WoW and Diablo goblins is about greed

Its model is reused in several occasions, such as at Bladefist Bay, for a Venture Company boat on the Jeweled Coast or for a Bilgewater one near the Dredge in Darkshore.

No, what he did was create a line that specifically said “Looks like a new yacht for me.” which, yeah, anyone with a working brain would know that a line like that is directly aimed at Bobby Kotick, since the most common meme these days whenever a company owned by Activision Blizzard makes something new available for purchase or gets flak for pricing something higher than people consider acceptable is “Well Bobby needs a new yacht.”

Hell, just the other day I had someone random in a discord use the hashtag #YachtsforBobby because they were mad about the WoW token in WotLK Classic.

Bobby ain’t stupid, he knows people make memes about him that aren’t flattering in the slightest (he’s previously complained publicly about the Bobby ‘Devil Horns’ Kotick meme.) but he can’t do anything about us mocking him. The same can’t be said for the employees of the company he’s the CEO of.

If Venture co has never owned a yacht, then there is zero reference to Bobby then. That would go against the entire thing.
