Are you saying that your issue was Emeni was never appearing in her location until you did your mentioned steps? Or she was there, and like many of us the actual quest she gives to soulbind causes her to despawn?
Emeni has been in the soulbind location for me since i completed the stitching questline - but as of seconds ago, even after abandoning and repicking up the quest 10 times she just despawns every time.
New day, still not fixed, same issue as before.
I just saw a blue post that said they hot fixed this but Emeni is still disappearing as soon as I accept the quest “Never had a friend like me”. I tried restarting, dropping quest, but she keeps disappearing.

It finally worked. After reading what others said I picked up Return Lost souls and Never had a Friend like Me. The fix was not handing in the “return lost souls” quest but having it completed. As soon as it was completed and not handed in Emeni was there waiting for me to speak to. So just make sure you have both quests do souls quest and not hand in souls if you want to unlock. Without doing that she would always despawn after accepting quest.

Still bugged for me.
Still bugged for me as well. Done with covenant campaign. did the quest on the west side. I am able to pick up the quest but she still disappears. I tried with More Souls quest picked up, completed but not turned in, and turned in and not picked up again - still nothing.
At least shes not the best soulbind or anything…
Do not turn in the souls quest until you have activated Emeni.

Blizzard, please note that today’s hotfix DID NOT resolve the issue in my case.
- Fixed an issue where some characters who switched to the Necrolord covenant would not be able to see Emeni during the quest, “Never Had a Friend Like Me.”
I am still experiencing the same phasing issues as before. Once I accept the quest, she immediately still immediately despawns.
I tried abandoning the quest, relogging, and accepting it again, but the issue persists.
I abbandon the Never Had a Friend Like Me quest then got myself back to Ogrimar turn warmode on and came back pick up the Never Had a Friend Like Me quest again and it work!
Unfortunately that did not work for me.

tried everything suggested and nothing worked. a full day of having a whole soulbind not work.
guess ill enjoy those new fruit paintings while waiting for a fix.
SOLUTION - might not work for everyone
I can’t believe this actually worked, so what I did is:
I went to the maw, abandoned the quest, came back and accepted the quest again. It worked this time. Seems buggy and RNG.

I can’t believe this actually worked, so what I did is:
- Do not have the quest “Never Had a Friend Like Me” in your quest log
- Go to Orgrimmar and turn ON War Mode
- Go to Emeni and accept the quest, she should phase out and THEN turn OFF War Mode
- She should then appear and you should be able to soulbind with her
Cannot successfully repeat this, but hopefully it will help others!
holy crap i got it to work. Cannot confirm if it will for anyone else. I got the quest, went to Stormwind (since i’m alliance), dropped the quest while in stormwind, went back to covenant and BOOM!! worked. I had WM on . Never turned it off or on or whatever. Might be RNG but worth a shot. GL everyone
Great news, It worked for me and I hope it works for everyone it’s happening to. All I had to do was go to Org without the quest “Never had a friend like me”, turn on warmode then go back and accept the quest… Bam! she did not disappear… I did not have to turn off warmode, it just worked. Good luck everyone. Thank you to the person/people that figured out this fix.
It worked for me as well, all i had to do was to turn on War Mode in Orgrimmar, then go back to the Sit of the Primus and accept the quest. This time she didnt fade out. That’s the way to go guys, thanks to all who figured it out while Blizz did nothing…
The drop quest, WM on in Org/SW, accept quest steps worked for me now as well, where it did not last night - guessing server restarts helped out. Congrats to everyone, and thanks to those that helped find a good workaround; hopefully this is resolved for everyone now!
