you’ve created a metric that you calculate by dividing one by the number of people who have the axe. you haven’t explained why this metric is relevant or what it has to do with the chance of the axe dropping for you. but you’re insisting that true BLP should improve your made-up metric in some way. none of that is mathematical – you’ve just made a choice and decided that anything that doesn’t “improve” your chosen metric is “punishment”
it kind of sounds like you think the best BLP would be to take the axe away from people who got it in a previous week
Now picture you farming a mount for years with an extremely low drop chance and you finally get it. Then a few months later, they nerf the drop rates making everyone get it…
False. It improves an individual’s chance by an insignificant amount. But mathematically distributed over hundreds of thousands of kills, it absolutely increases the number of drops by around that amount.
no, you’re again confusing probability with statistics. if i roll a d6 5 times and get 1,1,3,2,4, that doesn’t prove the chance of rolling 5 or 6 is 0%.
Who cares? Done with this rng bs… its fake i was so hype 2months ago that imgetting it … guess what? 2 of my brothers quit after week6 on heroic… me still trying it but i only log in on tuesday and thats it … im not subbing back until next expax… and if its still like this next time im done not even healthy grinding this thing and if you get it? Hours of quest plus 400k gold for mats lol…
I’m sorry but this is a load of crap. The same feedback was given by Evokers in Season 2 who had it worse. There wasn’t even clarity on how the drop chances worked until the time BLP was added. And even when that clarity was posted, the initial post had to be revised because the attempt at explaining it properly failed. You had players killing Sarkareth on every difficulty available when they only had to do the highest difficulty they could. BLP wasn’t added until 6 weeks after the start of the season and you still saw Evokers who cleared Heroic or Mythic weekly with no legendary by the start of Season 3. I have 22 H Sarkareth kills, 17 were after BLP was added and no legendary.
Evokers told you exactly how NOT to handle Fyr’alath and you ignored it.
Week 4 you had a lotto winner.
The last 2 weeks you had someone hitting 1.75%~ which if you had a raid of 10-15 people who could get it is within the realm of possibility.
Week 4 i was in shock i saw someone get it gave me hope and here we are…but ya i know its a possibilty just seems 2 weeks back to back is odd considering the stage of embers i truly feel the odds are better in normal than they think curious to see what happens tuesday with hotfix in
Aside from the fact i havent downed HFyr, I have wonder if my drop rate would have been better if I’d run other levels of the boss as Arms, rather than Titan’s Grip Fury. Arms only needs one 2H, while Fury Titan’s Grip needs two.
None of the other STR classes can wiekd two 2Hs, so I’m wondering if the game has been (inadvertently) taking that into account when awarding the drop.
All you guys need to do is not balance around the legendary… Put them in mythic and make the ‘Legendary’… make them insanely OP and broken and fun… but don’t make them required in order for < insert class here > to be able to compete at any level… Even mythic.
Please stop making me raid to be competitive in m+. No other game makes you spend so much time doing things you dislike to be viable in the content you enjoy.
Exactly this, Devs should be open to talk about rewards, I’m mostly a mount collector and I got excited about the love rocket changes announced back in 2022, then Reward Dev proceeded to implement a pure RNG solution without talking with players like the Council.
The Council also mentioned several times the topic of rewards, BLP and the issue that could be for seasonal content.
We need more discussion about rewards and their acquisition, it should be goals intead of a “JACK POT” feeling as some devs mentioned in their last Council Live Chat. We don’t want to gamble in this game without doing meaningful progress.
