Emails being sent out giving "Warnings" to people who were in GDKP's

You trying to blow it up into something it’s not

You forgot the part where you make an argument why it’s not.

That is what this email said.

Good thing that quote is where my post ended right?

stop being a parasite and you wont get warned.

As I’ve said multiple times, you’re fighting a lost cause.

Blizzard could announce tomorrow that because botters are more likely to roll Orcs, they are banning everyone who has rolled a Orc and stolen $100 from the credit card of everyone who plays a Orc. And despite how blatantly illegal and awful such a decision would be, these same posters would still be on here saying “haha cry moar gold farmer”.

I’ve probably been in less GDKP’s than you.

That guy is truly committed to being a victim. It’s fascinating.

The rest of your post was nonsense and didn’t matter.

Don’t break the rules and you won’t get banned, they’re logging a warning to you so you won’t have any excuse in the future. Simple as.

Avoid harder.

The first tier on the penalty ladder is a warning, which this is, for something that is still allowed until tomorrow.

See the account penalty ladder typically doesn’t care what type of infraction is involved, it will escalate to the next rung (one day suspension or 3 day suspension I forget if they still do single day lockouts) the next time something he does that Blizzard deems is wrong instead of giving him a warning even if he didn’t know what he was doing was wrong.

If this isn’t actually a warning penalty on his account then it could have been worded a lot better as a message to remind/inform of a policy change in regards to GDKPs and them being banned in phase 2 without any mention of the word account or warning.

Ok, I’m changing a tax rule in a month, that you filed correctly today, that will be incorrect next month. You are now on a watch list with the IRS, and are 100x more likely to be audited compared to your fellow citizens. Thank you.

This is where they refuse to own this take of theirs, and stop responding.

If the tax update was to something that was wildly immoral and unethical but just barely squeaked by the law, yeah they’d be fully justified in doing exactly that. Keeping a close eye on people who used to do the thing that is now illegal is just common sense.

Brave, special, but brave. Was my case wildly immoral and unethical? should I have no path to appeal this warning?

how’s the something awful guild

He was already doing something wrong, participating in GDKPs. Just because it wasn’t against the letter of the rules at the time doesn’t make it okay.

Also, do you have any evidence whatsoever that these warnings will cause elevated account actions for unrelated things, at all? Or is it just wild speculation?

It’s good, come chill with us homie.

Yes of course it was, you were laundering RMT gold. What’s there to appeal? The warning said don’t do this thing in the future, and that’s that. It’s not a punishment.

It’s almost like we should make a thread to attract attention to this, so we can get a clarifying blue post on this huh?

Don’t buy gold.
Don’t do GDKPs.

Then you have nothing to worry about. I know that’s asking a lot.

and that’s that. It’s not a punishment.

Which department of Blizz do you work at? You’re on your personal account atm.
