Emails being sent out giving "Warnings" to people who were in GDKP's

I mean, people literally record themselves breaking the law and then post the video on social media.

Didn’t read just reported this botter lol

Sorry Commissioned. I was playing the game.

Voidarcane. I don’t see anyone saying things about false bans based off RMTs. OP here is worried about a false ban due to him being on a watch list that was created when the thing he was put on said watch list was legal. Where now maybe instead of him getting a warning or even maybe one of those squelches you mentioned he may just get a temp ban instead.

But I can assure you that it takes much fewer reports than what you are saying unless there is actual Data that blizzard released that you are quoting, And if so I would be curious to look at those numbers and data. False player reports though can absolutely push someone to get banned via the automation system. There is no human involved in the review of those bans until after the ban happens. Ban first. Judge later.

I’m not sure why OP felt the need to argue about this for 3 hours.

I got the same email. I’d be more worried if I DIDN’T get an email while people said they were getting them. Just don’t do any GDKPs in phase 2. It’s not hard. It’s probably good that they are sending out warning emails to even just the people that just did one raid. They can detect them automatically.

For reference I did do one because I am BiS geared and I figured I would do one before the ban went into effect since it’s easy gold.

The wording of the email is a little inflammatory. “Offense: Exploitative Activity: GDKP Raid” Even though it is still considered “legal”. “Further inappropriate behavior may result” even though it is still “legal” until tomorrow.

The worry about being on some sort of watch list this leaves him more susceptible to a false ban or harsher punishment than they might have originally received.

There was a way to say this as a reminder instead of it being portrayed that you have a hard warning now on your account. Like if you get written up at work for something you were allowed to do. That was his argument. Not that he got a message or reminder but the wording and message it portrays indicates it is something more than just a reminder and can have other implications attached to it and I absolutely agree.

The messaging of the email is very unclear which is worrisome. I imagine that alot of people are very annoyed by this and they will release another statement. GDKPs are ALLOWED until phase 2. But the email acts as if though you broke the rules.

I’ve had my account since BC and I’ve never gotten a warning. This irks me and if this actually does go towards getting an actual ban for another offense that’s really dumb.

OP is a :snowflake::snowflake::snowflake::snowflake:

Wants someone fired over a warning that was “too harshly worded”

It’s not unclear at all. GDKPs are banned in Phase 2. Future runs could get you suspended or even banned.

Very simple to understand.

I wonder how they can do that, and yet apparently not be able to track gold buyers and punish them…

You missed the second part of my post. Warnings are an account action and stay on your account for 6-12 months I think?

So if I get another offense that isn’t related to the first one this will result in a ban instead of a warning.

GDKPs were allowed. Why am I getting actioned?

If you understood how to read then you’d know very clearly it doesn’t act that way at all. But it’s ok.

Further inappropriate behavior may result in additional penalties,

See:

You’re not getting actioned. It’s a courtesy email telling you this behavior is banned starting in Phase 2.

bro it literally says account action on the email

every email that relates to accounts that have warnings/bans say the exact same thing

Stop being disingenuous

Wants someone fired over putting someone on a watchlist, for an activity that is allowed. Thus, increasing their chance of getting falsely banned in the future by a factor of 100.

Yes

“Further inappropriate behavior may result in additional penalties". “Additional” penalties suggests some type of adverse action has been taken.

I’m sure none have and this is just the result of copy-pasting a tone deaf template, but that’s still awful customer service.

If a shop decided to introduce a mandatory bag check policy, that’s their prerogative. They shouldn’t then treat every person who ever previously shopped there with an unchecked bag like they are a thief. It’s common sense, and I widh I was shocked that people are defending bad customer service - but hey, it’s a conversation about GDKPs, so critical reasoning goes out the window.

It literally says warning. They’re letting you know. They say GDKPs won’t be allowed starting in Phase 2. They couldn’t be more clear. But be paranoid.

Can you imagine what would happen if Blizz didn’t send this warning? People who get banned for doing GDKPs would freak out. “I had no idea!” “Blizz never told us!” So here they are warning you ahead of time and you still complain.

By the way, that will still happen. Some people will continue to GDKPs and claim ignorance. We’ll see how far that gets them.

No one in this thread has an issue with them sending out an email letting people know.

Which is exactly what they did.

You trying to blow it up into something it’s not is…kinda funny. Or sad. But it serves no purpose.
