I dunno, that catch of a rocket booster with the chopstick arms was pretty impressive. I know it was a team of engineers but nobody but Elon would have tried it in the first place.

Yes, there are lounge threads that Blizzard has allowed. The goal is to keep the off topic discussion contained and to let those folks build community. Keep in mind the existence of different types of people SHOULD NOT be political. The fact some people think it is - is a problem. Those threads turn into massive political debates they are going to get edited or closed too. As it stands - they are about people chatting about pets, recipes, game goals, day to day chatter.
Just like our Customer Support Lounge thread we have had for over a decade. There are rules to it and a new one gets made every few months when the old one gets closed. The rules for it are quoted in the first post as is standard.
Of course there should be rules.
But simply stating Elon plays diablo and he’s good at it hardly qualifies as a banned subject.
Well if I was the mod anyway. The mods here obviously can mod as they see fit so how I feel isn’t really relative.
I’m sure there are diablo players in this thread that would be interested to know that someone like him plays the same video game and he’s good.
If Madden players found out that Madden played, and he was good, lots of those players would be interested.
I mean you could apply this same thing to many people. Even the big things attributed to presidents are actually designed and implemented by teams of people. We still call out these leaders as being great, even if they didn’t actually do anything but put pen to paper.

Yeah, but this forum is for WoW. The Diablo 4 forums are for Diablo 4. There already was a thread there about Elon but predictably, after a few days it turned into arguments and got removed.

One could argue that since they added famous wow themed transmogs to Diablo, that it does open the door for discussions here about Diablo as it’s basically a cross promotion event.
As for the anti “name and shame” policy, would that still apply if it was “name and praise”

I feel like if one person had actually built a 20 story rocket totally by themselves and got it to orbit, then landed the parts, we probably should kill them because that would have to be an alien.
