That is one potential option, yes. Only issue there is that could have unintended consequences, like altering daily reset times, creating situations where world quests are up that have expired in NA, etc. Something like that could be abused, so I doubt it’s the path Blizz is likely to take.

At this point, since I’ve been corrected, Is that Blizzard thought it was better for something. My guess is to CRZ them with NA servers. Which, I don’t honestly think NA needs that nor does OCE players. :rainbow:

YOU have to understand that we had local time for our servers then they changed it Legion.

For the love of god! Who cares if its a US based company? Its customers are global! Please tell me why its natural to use US time for our servers? I fail to see what Blizz HQ’s geographical location has to do with in game time!

Sadly, the truth is that all of this is really moot. Its a waste of time. Nothing will change, and until such time as Blizzard actually ever does anything about it, this thread and all the others will accomplish what the last two and half years have had.

There’s a fair argument here. All they are asking for is a potion for a Day time Cycle? How is it senseless when their time zone doesn’t met the in game expectations? To tell them to stay up late at night so they can play the game during the day?

And it wouldn’t be just available to OCE Players, it would be like the new “RP” potions, available to everyone. Players options and choices are a good thing. :rainbow:

Dude. Calm down. For real, you’re not doing your cause any favors, and you’re coming across as very emotionally charged when it doesn’t serve your purpose to do so.

No, not accurate. This isn’t an argument to be won – it’s a quality of life change being requested. It needs doing. They’ve waited long enough to get back something they already had that was removed due to changes in server infrastructure. The request for a cosmetic effect to change the time of day is not an unreasonable one, and benefits all players globally anyway.

Do you have evidence to back up your claim? Do you even know how to write a line of code that will ensure compliance for an API call?

Do you have experience in online security? Do you know what it takes to make an addon work within a very narrow range of coding? I like for you to answer these and more at some point.

That’s a lot of programming work to change how World Quests work to satisfy a question of when the sun comes up.

So… not really viable, and won’t happen. This isn’t something you’re going to be able to throw a fit about until Blizzard does whatever you want without consideration for the expense.

The game runs fine with the day/night cycle as-is. It is perfectly serviceable as a game. What you’re asking for is a quality of life change. Don’t expect them to respond to you positively if your plan is to tell them to eat whatever cost is necessary. That isn’t a diplomatic solution, and you hold no cards at the proverbial table when making a request like this.

Our servers previously being US realms under the oceanic tab(until before WoD) isn’t enough of an explanation for you?

Weird part about what I just quoted though, While I was doing yesterdays BfA Assault or incursion or whatever they are calling it, it was daytime in game… Last time I checked Saurfang was an Oceanic realm.

I miss in vanilla when Westfall or Arathi Basin was sometimes raining or sunny or dark outside.
not sure why but sometimes maybe 1 out of 1000 arathi basin games it will be raining.

What I dont understand is how the NPCs know and speak all the languages but Players don’t. I’ve talk to Thrall and understood him just fine. Why can’t I understand the rest of the Green skinned brutes?
