Maybe he’s scared of disappearing at night
Which is pretty much why I no longer play.
You’re a vampire just accept it, then go watch “What We Do In The Shadows” as a primer.
Curious, are OCE realms CRZ’d with any NA Realms?
I just saw.
“STOP TROLLING”
Lol funny I was going to say eternal darkness is great for vampires but not humans - at least not in real life
Well, with him it’s trolling. With you, it’s just light-hearted humor.
Do zones have time cycles? I thought they got rid of that a long time ago,
15 years ago during the Alpha, I was arguing for 17 hour day (or something similar) specifically so that folks that played at the same time every day would be able to see different day effects in the game.
For example, the lycanthropes in Pyrewood that change from humans to beasts at night. If you only play at a certain time, you’d never get to see them differently.

Yes.
Okay–
Then it’s very unlikely they will fix anything. OCE realms are now on the LA Data Center which means, You should be CRZ’d with only West Coast realms.
To fix the issue-- they would have to remove all CRZ and relocate the server to the old data center. My understanding is, the original data center was shut down. However, I have no idea how good that information is.
Uhh… No, no they’re not. They’re physically located in Australia.
I only read the first 20ish posts, but im with the OP. I dont rp, and im from the US, but it really cant be as hard as some people make it out to be. My basis for this is that several, if not most, cutscenes since Legion (possibly warlords) actually change the time of day for the duration of the cutscene. This is usually noticeable when you cancel a cutscene; you’ll often see the game snap from night to day if you watch a night time cutscene during the day time, and vice versa

Um.
Excuse me. No.
OCE realms are located in Sydney and Melbourne and have been since 2014.
Phasing for a cutscene has very little in common with a cosmetic effect that alters the time of day.

Try four years out of date.
@OP, I can symphathize to a point but for you to as someone said earlier compare apples to oranges left a bad taste I’m sure. The uproar about the potion for the RP community is only a temporary fix until something else can be worked out.
You have to understand that because Blizzard is a US based company, it’s only natural to use local time, and that’s the way it is. I feel that in light of your complaint has been heard in the past but I don’t think by the laws of nature you’re gonna have any amount of daylight just instantly made just for you. Nature just doesn’t work that way, if it did we all be in broad daylight 24/7.
And I stated I didn’t know how good the information was.
It’s like people can’t read.
So getting defensive because I was wrong ( which I can freely admit to as I checked two sites, neither were updated and got two different answers.) But the “excuse me” was unneeded,
Then i dont see why they cant permanently move them to a proper timezone

No we dont and its a ludicrous argument. Our servers WERE on local time until Blizzard changed them. So , wrong.
