LOL adults work in real life. When you have actual accomplishments IRL you don’t play games to work.

Blizzard has been ignorant enough to let tryhard frat boys call the shots in this game and story based games are all growing population. People who are sick of it are leaving in droves and they are letting said tryhards scream “don’t come back” on their way out the door.
Wildstar would like to have a word with you.
Blizzard is dying…it’s dying because of Toxicity in the company and in the coddled player base of manbabies, that will accept nothing less than the game being paid for by the 99% of the player base that doesn’t raid… If it doesn’t change it will die.

So Player A logs onto WOW for 40 or more hours a week and doesn’t do more than LFR level content is a casual and Player B who Raid logs Mythic or runs a few 15 or higher keys a week and is only on for 6 hours a Week is not?

Then go play FF. I find that game to be super cringe and dated looking but different strokes.
What do you want to do should be the question? You don’t want to Raid. You don’t want to do keys. In FF you run dungeons and Raids at end game as well for the most part but I guess you don’t do them there either?
You’re aware you can do both right? I’m a landlord with several properties, have a wife and kids and work 40 to 60 hours a week.
Still did Heroic Nath, Nya, mythic nighthold, ToS, Antorus and pretty much heroic every expansion.
So sick of the “I have a life and a job” excuse. No, you’re lazy and spend it watching Netflix, FBing and because you’re lazy, want gear handed to you.

I doubt the investors will allow that.

Unfortunately the people running the show are quite literally elitist jerks. We can hope for some kind of improvement, but they seem to be stubbornly sticking to their current baffling design philosophy.

It does appear to be headed that way, yes.
I wrote a post a couple of weeks ago that got a lot of negative feedback from people who either didn’t understand what I was trying to say or who are developers somewhere themselves and got up in their feels, but the truth is the truth: All entertainment, all video games, and of course this one, belong to the fans, not the developers. If developers want to stubbornly insist they are making the games for themselves and the players can either take it or leave it, they’re eventually going to leave it.
If Blizzard won’t let go of its collective ego and begin developing the game solely with the players’ wants/needs/desires in mind, and bury their own or at least make their own subservient to that goal, the franchise as it currently exists is going to end soon.
