Easy to enchant heirlooms as they stay with you…
Missing the point.
Be specific.
Which ones? and what is “insane” in your opinion?
Sure, let me try again. Enchants, specifically.
The worst that i’ve seen have been leg and shoulder, going for over 10k+ each.
These prices vary, over all of our realms.
I have some realms where they are constantly listed at 225-300g at times.
is 225g - 300g “Insane”?
That being said, I have always found incentive to level professions in World of Warcraft, ideally everything is free.
Time permitting and all.
Have you tried leveling professions since the Expansion section changes?
I highly recommend it.
character stats while leveling are hardly ideal, why not give every character a standard template of gear and scale them up to x9 of that bracket, and let cap be where you play the gear theorycrafting.
So Templates until 119?
That’s a good idea Kang.
I have an enchanter, have had it since BC. I’m not the issue here, everyone else is. I have every profession on an alt with the exception of a JC.
The average or newer player shouldn’t have to have enchanters, or to buy tokens to be competitive in something that is designed for leveling.
sure why not, but also give the players a set of (temp)greens or what not so that new players can see how they should be gearing and itemizing. i remembered in old games like amplitude and guitar hero we used to play online multiplayer because we could play the harder songs without getting a gameover penalty, this let us get practice in and get better.
if players get templates and an example of how they should sort of be gearing, it will help them learn a bit quicker as they level.
That’s a good idea Kang.
I enjoy using 14+ years of scaled gear, it works well.
Maybe Blizzard will make Whites and missing slots viable one day, keep at it.
Too abusable. Player just has to swap to better gear once he joins.

Isn’t your Ilvl also effected by items in your inventory? I remember seeing that somewhere once. Like that was a way around it.
Sort of. There’s an equipped ilvl and a possible ilvl,

this is why you assign gear, its not a stat template, but a gear template, every rogue in the 20 bracket will be 29 and have the exact same set of greens regardless of what they equip on their character. the greens just override what you put in that slot while in the bg, once out you are back in your actual equipped gear.

So, it basically wouldn’t do anything because Whatever you choose to wear will always be better.
If you’re going to go that route, a more logical “fix” would be to disallow players from wearing their own gear in BGs and auto equip every player “Conjured” gear.
The Same Gear for Everyone.
No min/maxing. No Enchants. Everyone all the same.
no, im saying dull boring sword of pvp balance will override your equipped megarare noobpwner. you can equip all the high ilvl gear you want it wont have any effect, while in a bg your character will get the same gear as everyone else.
basically while in a bg if you open your character panel, your gear will have been replaced with this green template, once you are back out, it will be your gear again.
Which is what I said. Reducing the entire game to it’s lowest common denominator… Literally.
No originally. No freedom. We all become mass-manufactured bots.
Hell, we already started on that path with the dumbing-down of the Talent Trees.
I guess after this, streamlining and making all PVE uniform would be the next step.
No originally. No freedom. We all become mass-manufactured bots.
so what happens over a long time period with xpoff twinks? eventually everyone will find and build the optimal build for each spec and class, and everyone will have their toons decked out in that, rogues will all have the same gear, druids, paladins, etc. its no different, we are just skipping a ton of farming.
if you want a true unlimited bracket, come play unrated 120.
Easier fix: If you turn off XP you get scaled up/down to a pre-determined ilvl and player level for that bracket.
