Easiest Tank Class (Least Amount of Buttons)

what i meant was that DKS and pallies get equal damage avoidance while also having plenty of self healing but i compleatly forgot about one of the warriors abilities which is sad cause the main tank i play atm is a warrior and i should know this

Just going to share this.
Paladins are quite easy; due to grand crusader spam in combination with Twilight Devastation proc.

No they don’t. DKs literally take twice as much damage to the chin compared to warriors, specifically because of death strike. Similar story with Paladins, who have a lower AM uptime overall.

again i forgot about the other ability entirely when i was comenting, i dotn disagree with the peope pointing this out

don’t listen to others… bear druid is easy to tank with lmao,

Monk can legit just spam taunt and keg smash and be almost as effective damage taken wise as someone playing perfectly.

Mastery gives them a stupid amount of stagger even without pressing ironskin brew.

They are by far the most forgiving tank if you mess up, but doing decent dps on them and holding AoE threat can be more challenging on monk.

They’re all pretty easy other than brewmaster monk. That one, you’re either good at it or you’re not.

why do people think brewmaster is hard?

Keg smash on CD.

Expel harm if you feel like it.

Purify if you get bored.

That’s it.

Thanks for all the input everyone. It seems like going guardian or playing brewmaster are the best for least amount of hand pain from too many buttons to press.

Thanks again!

Bear is actually pretty easy to pick up. You’re almost just spamming your AoEs while trying to keep Ironfur uptime close to 100%, and using Survival Instincts/Barkskin for big damage intakes (especially good against Magic damage, since they reduce all damage taken).

Let’s just be honest though, most tank specs in BfA are easy enough to pick up. As long as you have good enough spatial awareness, know the routes for M+, have a general idea of your abilities, and general idea of affixes, you can do fine on anything. Some specs may perform better at higher levels than others.

Note: Guardian might require more help with certain affixes or have to kite more. Soothe is handy to have on Raging weeks or in certain dungeons if your healer isn’t a Resto Druid or you don’t have a Hunter in your group. Typhoon and Vortex are great for positioning mobs.

Brewmaster is pretty fun.

i cant see what this was a reply to, but im assuming it was my coment about brewmaster being useless until lvl 40.
they dont get thier actual tanking ability the one that lets them not die in 5 seconds, stagger, until 40 x3 it makes them very, very bad tanks until they get it but they are fine after

All tanks play pretty much the same they all have exactly the same amount of main button rotations.
It depends on what you want to do really but you cant go wrong with druid you already have its mostly swipe thrash rage regen. You can get away with just swipe thrash 90% the time.
Paladin is the most stationary tank if you prefer to to limit movement as much as possible that would be the class.

Because you have to be very careful about using cds. I was doing m15 Yazma last night, BM died, I rezzed and he died 10 seconds later; he had no cooldowns left.

To play any class well you really do need to use all the buttons. That being said, you can get by on a prot warrior with just spamming 3 or 4.

On a sidenote, something made me look at your profile and then google where Lord of War title comes from. I don’t have PVP skill for, but wonder if I could cheese my way to the title someway here in the future or if it’s ungettable. I will say, WoD handed out some decisively good titles.

What a weird statement. What would the Bear Tank do exactly that makes them have to “work harder” than a Warrior? What abilities am I missing?

The only somewhat complex thing about a Bear Tank is knowing how to spend Rage between Ironfur, Maul and Frenzied Regen.

ashran is back alot titles to get with garrison building pretty sure they havent been removed.

What possible cooldown is he using? Brewmaster has pretty much 1 CD for physical damage, fort brew.

This is a long CD and wouldn’t be used more than once anyways on the fight.

Last boss of AD if you die on a brewmaster I would wager the farm he walked around like an idiot into spiders and didn’t die to the tank buster.

For magic damage monks have a bunch of cooldowns you can preemptively use to live, but for physical they pretty much just sit there and stagger it.

Yes i agree, nerf DHs
