Easiest Tank Class (Least Amount of Buttons)

Hello!

I get pain in my hands from spamming too many buttons sometimes. Is there an easy tank class?

the easiest tank is warrior. thats what the warrior class is designed for easy, simple to understand.

this does not mean warrior tanks are the best, but they are very easy

Warrior is easy but has a lot of buttons to press.

Blood DK is in the middle in terms of difficulty, but has the fewest buttons to press.

Bear druid has a decent amount of buttons and pretty high skill ceiling so I’m really not sure why someone recommended that.

I’m not 100% sure why people are recommending prot paladin, either. I think it’s fun, it has a lot of oh-crap buttons, and I would recommend trying it, but your primary mitigation cannot have 100% uptime which means, without pretty careful usage, you’re going to have moments where you can get absolutely smashed. Compare that to warrior, bear, blood, and monk, who all have a significantly easier time mitigating damage and maintaining said mitigation.

Bear tank is the easiest to play. It’s actually boring it’s so easy. They’re not that good though.

If you want a tank that’s easy and good, go Prot Paladin. They’re a tad harder than bears, but that’s only because bears are so darn simplistic that it makes Paladin default to second-easiest.

bear tank has iconically been so hard to play the general playerbase thinks its the worst tank because its so hard to be good with it, same with feral. feral is pretty good but its just so hard to do anything on it.
idk how you can say its easy. all of the tanks are equal in strength though they just have varying degrees of skill required to play them, bear being the hardest and warior being the easiest. paly and dk vary but tend to be equal in difficulty due to having similar kits

I’m really confused by people saying bear is easy. I’m far from a bear pro, but it’s one of the alts I’ve enjoyed playing, and actually playing it well to any meaningful extent is definitely harder, at least, than a couple of other tank specs.

I guess it’s easy insofar as you can spam an AOE and hold aggro, but just holding aggro isn’t how I’d evaluate a tank spec in terms of ease to play.

and early game many bear tanks are kicked for being so bad at it and being unable to compleat the dungeon because the bear tank is literally incapable of tanking because they lack the skill, when every other tank class does just fine

Mleh. Low-level monks definitely struggle the most.

low lvl monks only struggle because they have no actual tanking abilities until level 30

Bears are hard to be good at because they’re so bad you have to put in much more work to get equal results.

There’s nothing particularly intricate about their rotation or active mitigation. They’re mechanically a very easy class. The hard part is getting any value out of it because it’s a bad tank.

i hate bear tank players. as a healer main the one reason is witched to a dps main are bear tanks

Paladin has like, throw shield button, hammer button, judgement button, consecration button, shield bash button, heal button and that is about it.

If you do like a mythic key 6 or below you don’t even take any damage really. Thats what I noticed on my paladin.

same with warriors, in higher level dungeons though warrior takes alot more damge due to having no self healing compared to dk and pally which is why dk and pally are considered the best, self healing ontop of incredibly high metigation
