Even without layering, the realm looks dead. Less than 50 ppl in zones, hard time making groups etc. Doesn’t look fun.
The decision was made thinking blizzard had done there due diligence in not creating dead realms…
Exactly how reliable are the stats on that site just yet?
How actually likely is it that Atiesh, where I have been playing, and where we’ve had almost no queues outside of the first two days has a far higher population than most all of the realms that still experience queues on a daily basis?
I don’t know how that site works, but I’d like to know in which direction it is more likely to err? Stating a higher population than is actually happened, or stating a lower population than is actually happening.
I’m not sure tbh, I’ll try to upload a file tonight to see if it updates my realm.
Maybe data from all timestamps is being tabulated together and given equal treatment?
A site like that sounds like it could be more useful one it gains a larger number of contributers and can actually determine what the peak hours and days for each realm are and show the average peak activity and average low activity for each realm. I’m guessing all the realms would need to have been up for longer than a week and without significant interruptions in order to get dependable numbers.
And considering how new and “small” the new realms are, chances are very few files were uploaded so it may not be accurate. Only blizzard has the realm numbers.
Okay. I think I figured out where my problem is at. I totally misunderstood what those graphs were attempting to show. I thought they were trying to demonstrate the load on a given server at a given time.
Is it more accurate to say that they are attempting to track the number of actual characters that exist without regard for how many actual players are or ever have been online.
Ded realm bump…will continue to bump until This gets the exposure and response from Blizzard on how they plan to address.
I don’t disagree with you at all, I just find it ironic that the same tune can be said by people in queue for overpopulated servers (when the queues were long).
“How am I supposed to feel? I have limited time to play.”
Grass is greener
Im lovin Earthfury.
Its quiet enough to quest in peace without hhasving people xamping every mob. My ild server was quiet and i hate those packed zones.
I prefer a family.
If you were posting on a Classic toon, I might believe you.
Me? What difference does it make? Ive got 100+ levels on abouy 5 servers and this is thebfirst ine im gelling with …basucally cos its quiet.
Ive now got a 13 and an 11 here . Ive maxed ay 17 16 15 and about 5 guys at 10 to 12. The grind is easy. Its the choice thats hard.
Yeah mate woooo!
That is correct, but I do believe the site purges characters level 5 and lower, so as to cut out banking alts and one offs.
The site isn’t 100% accurate, but does give a good baseline on how many characters are on each server, and as such how populated a server is. The more people that uses the addon and uploads the data, then the more accurate the charts will be.
it got up to maybe 800 last night. Its still hard as crap to get groups together for anything. Still waiting on blizzard response. this is getting old.
Ran a census horde side at 8pm EST, it was just over 1,000 horde on. Really needs to about double, but I grouped with several people who said they had just moved over. Time will tell, but hoping something is done to facilitate this (maybe allowing more realms to transfer to it would help)
I think alliance is a little worse off though
Reroll now. Blizzard is unlikely to fix this in a timely manner and you can hit 35 in 3 or 4 days of casual play.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t Blizz confirm BGs are X-Realm this time around, since that was implemented in 1.12?
Does that mean just mean the BGs are x-realm but PvP ranking is still local? Or is everything x-realm? I would imagine an x-realm ladder would be a god damned nightmare.
35 in 3-4 days of casual play. You must be joking, You must be in one of those guilds that says we are a laid back, semi-hardcore but raid 4 days a week 4 hours each day. Your definition of ‘casual’ leveling is a stretch.
Well everyone with half a brain knew not to transfer…
