Dungeons ques are not speedruns. This has gotta stop

There is. Multiple tools in fact. Start with group finder. You can list your activity and exactly what experience you’re looking for. No one will be forced to join you, but I can usually find some others. Second you could develop your in-game friends list, maybe join a guild. Our guild has lots of groups forming every night. Thirdly you could message players in threads like these who seem to want what you want. Y’all can meet up in game and have at it.

Tools are there. Expecting random strangers to read your mind and do what you want isn’t one of them.

Hard disagree with all of your comments.

Get in. Get done. Get out.

Want to take your time and do it YOUR way then go make your own group with similar minded individuals.

Every expansion we get about 8 dungeons to do on repeat, and TW adds a bit of variation but it’s also still the same dungeons, it gets repetitive after a while and people have stuff to do.

People run dungeons that way because it’s possible to run them that way.

Go into Group Finder, Click Premade Groups, click dungeons the click start a group, add a title, fill in details and BOOM like minded people will flock to your group, you DO NOT need to run the actual dungeons in the drop down boxes.

I believe you meant to say a little consideration from others, but should you not be giving the same considerations, two sides to every argument. Just saying why does everyone have to bend to you? maybe you should learn to bend.

dungeons are speedruns as long as doing just the completion bonus is worth more than doing anything else in the dungeon. Whether that worth comes from xp, completion of weekly quests, whatever the fact remains people don’t ACTUALLY want to be in the dungeon, they want the shiny for finishing.

I dunno. That short period of time in SL (or maybe it was the start of DF) when TW was scaled to hit hard and blew groups out of the water (regardless of min/max), there were some old learning curves reignited. But everyone got persnickety at Shadow Lab/Mana Tombs taking too long and people having to know the fights. They felt the rewards were not worth the time & TWing was only trivial content. Old dungeons are only supposed to be hard if they get ressurected on M+ level. Sooo… here we are back at tissue paper again.

See my tank crash into the mobs…

I DON’t CARE! I LOVE IT!

The same 6 people on their alts complaining about something that doesn’t matter outside of this event…

Absolutely don’t stop. My wife and I were doing a ton of LK time walking and we had groups that were bum rushing the dungeons. 8 times out of 10, the dungeons would be done in 7 minutes or less. We would get 100k xp and 10k or more from trash. 5 minute que, sub 8 minute dungeon and we leveled almost 52 times in one day. That was so fun and fast for both of us, we didn’t know if it would be appropriate to laugh or cry.

actually there is an easier way:
keep dungeons intact but add an addition LFD queue type: questing dungeon. and since they added the new M+ rules, it would be simple for a tank (or anyone) who queues for this type of dungeon to agree to the rules of engagement.

so now we would have one additional type of gameplay for those of us who prefer to take our time in a dungeon, complete the quests inside said dungeon and kill everything instead of mario brother jumping skipping sneaking past bosses.

Segmenting the LFG queue is a terrible idea, or so I’ve heard from people who wait in queues. If they implement this they need to do it in LFR first with a “join run in progress toggle” to collect data on just how horrible an idea it would be for longer queues.

I disagree, if you want to go slow; run previous dungeons with and alt 2-3 higher than than the level cap of that dundeon. I can understand new players wanting to learn or appreciate runs, but i think the majority of players have run older dungeons at least once before. Personally i don’t have alot of time to play each day, so speed runs are a good option with the current xp and rep buffs. You can pretty much tell what the tank is up to after the first boss pull, if you get this far. Tanks that get too many reports get warnings…and if kept up; probably banned for disrupting others game play. As the goblins say… Time is precious friend.

Just to play devils advocate, and obviously this is just speculation, but how long do you think the que times on that new shiny option would be? I bet they take awhile to fill.

Would they have to remove the ability to vote kick people out of the group? I mean after all it is a questing dungeon, people are just learning. What if the a player used the walk option because they wanted to go slow and see everything, is that allowed? Now you maybe the one speedrunning by simply running.

We can really open up a pandoras box here, I mean you talk about rules of engagement, Who writes the rules? You? Or Blizzard? If blizzard does and you do not like the rules, are you going to complain? And then come up with some other argument why the rules they wrote do not match what you thought they should have been.

Afterthought: Maybe they could implement an option where you don’t have to kill the boss and you can simply have the dungeon boss talk out his feeling…

It’s content 10+ years out of date.

We’re not there for lore or to explore, and there’s no challenge.

We’re there for the increased exp and bribe boxes.

Guild, you’re literally asking for a guild.

You say completely ignoring the other 4 people in the group, why are you worth more consideration than them?

Simple fix - vote kick bad tanks. They won’t ever get the message until they have been left out to dry for 30 minutes by a couple vote kicks.

Who says I’m ignoring them? You need to read what I WROTE, not what you want to see. When I’m in a group I DO accommodate them. It’s because they seem completely unconcerned with accommodating me in return that I made the post. And why I usually avoid PUGs like the plague.

This is exactly the attitude I’m talking about. People are only concerned with someone doing what they are told.

As for guilds, I am currently a member of TWO, on two different characters. No one talks in guild chat, just like the majority of PUGs. I have to go join discord and check their calendar, and all that is on there is info on the next raid, which I loath.

Finding a guild that matches my play style is the same as finding a group. You get spammed by auto-bots and all they are interested in is filling their raid roster.

All this, and more, including your attitude, is why I mostly solo.

Classic TW feels like torture where are all the beautiful Twinks at???

Newsflash, maybe your new to life, but people are generally out for themselves, and in a game where there is no face to face consequences, it will happen most of the time.
