Wow you could solo a level 20-25 dungeon at 40…
Yeah…

I linked this in another thread, an example where a level 29 mob outside RFK did same or more melee damage as 31 elites inside the dungeon.
The mere idea that generic elites were supposed to melee for more damage than generic non-elites was treated with howls of derision from this crowd. So good luck convincing them.
None of our discussion really matters. If a bug is happening with mitigation, the streamers in beta will provide feedback and find it (like they did with the Stoneskin buff not expiring).
The game was always this easy. Mages were soloing ZG trash in Classic. And BFD had massive spawn waves before the last boss. You guys just want to pretend Classic was some elite club only special people could take part in.
The only possible bug in that scenario would be the mob outside the dungeon doing more damage than it’s supposed to. Enough video evidence of all these dungeons has been posted across multiple platform proving the numbers are 1.12 correct.
To be fair, you posted a video of a lvl 60 Warlock with Master Demo and Soul Link active and a Voidwalker up in endgame gear.
I would question certain bosses and mechanics hitting for far too low from what I’ve seen, but I dont think it’s a systemic issue, I think they’re isolated instances. The bombs in Gnomeregan for example, seem to be hitting for much less than they used to.
now you’re mocking and berating people after realizing that you’re wrong, nice.
Something definitely seems off
There are four hard fights in 1.12.1: C’thun, Gothik, Four Horsemen, and Kel’Thuzad. Everything else is easy to moderate difficulty at best.
'cuz you’re being complete unreasonable and denying ALL the evidence, despite having videos from '06 and current beta videos showing accurate representations of damage.
- Its 1.12 where dungeons were significantly nerfed.
- There’s a blue post confirming damage is the same and backed with EVIDENCE from the blue.
- It’s playing exactly like I remember from 1.12 on, I don’t know what to tell you.
Then the people claiming the numbers are wrong can find the armor data on all the gear that lock is using and do the mitigation math and compare it to Towelliee’s gear in the beta.
Time consuming but simple enough for the ones making the claim of incorrect mob damage.
Doesn’t look like endgame gear to me and his pants are broken.
Here’s endgame T3 armor: https://classicdb.ch/?item=22506 (108 armor)
Here’s level 29 mail armor: https://classicdb.ch/?item=3836 (171 armor)
Keep in mind they were decked out in gear that was or is close to BiS for level 30.
Won’t be the same for the average plebs who are just gonna do it while leveling, having greens 10-15 levels behind their current level. Might not even have a necklace.
That’s not what defense does, my friend.
Yeah that’s the point I’m making. For anyone not in good gear, of course they think that stuff was hard. But, if you had full BiS at your level, that stuff was easy as hell.
Not saying the numbers are wrong, not saying they’re right. I’m saying comparing a lvl 30 Warrior to a level 60 Warlock specced for complete physical mitigation through talents and pets isn’t the best way to prove it. I think the folks that posted who are saying instance damage was nerfed after 1.12 are probably the ones who have it right.
You realize this is the equivalent of “do your research”. I’m not saying you’re wrong but provide some better evidence instead of telling people to do the work for you.
