Dual Spec solves Tank shortage

You have already stated your playing extremely casually and shown that you have nonidea how to make gold.

You’re a priest, the healer that can go aoe farm old dungeons for 200g+ an hour if you do it right. It’s not as fast as a paladin solo farm as you have to do smaller pulls but it’s still VERY doable.

Step 1, get mage water, step 2 go to scholomance, step 3 kill things one pull at a time (or whatever your gear/skill level will allow), Step 4 profit.
Dark runes, rune cloth, enchanting mats, exc. Can all be sold on the AH. The raw gold you get from vendoring also helps and there’s a vendor right outside if you have done the quests. If you’re an enchangerbon the priest you should also kill bosses and DE the blue for brilliant shards to sell, if not you can ignore them or kill them based on your preference/time efficiency.

Your still not 70, so your level and weaker gear will likely turn this into a 100g+ farm per hour instead of 200g, but it’s still doable for you. Or you can take advantage of being a healer and dungeon spam the lvl 70 dungeons to get gold AND the rep you will need to do heroics. Heck you can farm scholomance while waiting on your group to get a tank then get summoned out there.

50g per respec is not expensive. And once P2 comes out your options for daily quests opens up a lot more. You not wanting to farm gold isn’t the games fault.

the only one forcing change on people is you.
if dual spec gets added, it changes a LOT of things for everyone. it has already been explained how much it will change PvE raiding. if you’re too dumb to get this, that’s too bad. this isn’t a single player game where one can just opt not to use something as huge as dual spec if it gets added.

I post here.

I’d do a lot less of that if we had dual spec.

Just saying.

LOL says the one who continually posts dumb, unsubstantiated crap.
Tell us again genius how this will destroy Raid comps and how no one will take Feral Druid anymore even though they’d still be the best Off Tank by far.

A Kara group should probably 3 heal Nightbane, but the rest of the instance of Kara doesn’t really require 3 healers so raids only bring 2, and then always skip Nightbane and or when they attempt Nightbane, can’t heal through it.
Let’s (fix it)(ruin it) with dual spec, and require one of our raiders to be able to switch to healing.

My name isn’t Andy, that’s a boy name. :scream_cat:
But since you went there, go farm on that mage Karen!

Guess what? There’s a summoning stone outside of Karazhan. You can already have one of your raiders switch to healing and be summoned back, if you need it. Nightbane is perfectly 2 healable anyways, and I’d say most people 2 heal it just fine.

There’s so many solutions to this make believe “problem” that I don’t usually respond to these posts, but I had to make an exception here because it was just so ridiculous.

yes, theres still a slight gold and time cost so its a last resort instead of an easy necessity.

these people want to have their cake and eat it too.

  • respeccing is sooo tedious and takes sooo much time omg we need dual spec or i quit
  • heh, respeccing is sooo easy already, you can basically do it for free and instantly. so dual spec won’t change raiding at all bro

reminds me of the “leveling only takes up 1% of my total playtime, just let me boost” vs “leveling takes foreeeeevvverrr, i have 32 kids 6 wives and 4 jobs, i need a boost” hypocrisy.

thats why a lot of groups currently skip nightbane?
“My group was able to 2 heal nightbane so of course most players can” mentality

How much is “a lot” ?

The problem Dual Spec solves is the one of forced scheduling. If you take a gander at the realm population indicators, you’ll notice that we’re back to pre-TBC levels of activity. We have more players logging raids, but the servers are less full.

Why is that? It’s because in order to properly tank Heroics, you need to be a tank spec. In order to properly play Arena matches, you need to be in a PvP spec. Why is this an issue? Because players can’t casually log in and help their guildies in Heroics, or play Arena matches without respeccing. This means there’s a 100 gold cost to do either of these activities on a whim.

Many players would rather not play the game that is punishing them for participating in different aspects of the game, they would rather raid log.

What do you consider a lot? 13,580 guilds have killed Nightbane, they’re almost all two healing it.

Well in order to properly change specs in tbc you need to play the game.

I don’t mind that the tourists are raid logging, it just shows the game isn’t for them.

But my guild isn’t Delimicus. Therefore, I feel we must be catered to in this instance at the cost of what the majority of players are doing.

Just because, okay?

Love how people are like “iT wOnT sOlVe TaNk sHoRtAgE1!1!11!!!”

Meanwhile, im MS tank and I’m literally telling you that being able to swap back and forth between tank and my pvp or holy spec absolutely would help with getting me personally to tank dungeons. If I respec into PvP spec I am NOT respeccing back into tank unless someone is paying me 100g to cover both respec costs or until its raid time.

the point is that nightbane would be a hell of a lot easier with dual spec, so stop trying to obfuscate the issue. as if raiding isn’t easy enough already.

And you would be tanking for pugs or your guild/friends?

There isn’t a tank shortage, there is a pug tank shortage.

nobody cares about your tank pug problems, to be quite frank. it’s certainly not worth butchering TBC classic over.

I tank for all, but even so its rare that I have a full guild run for my runs, but even that is a nonsensical argument because if I didn’t tank for my guildies that would be an additional group LF a tank for their dungeon.
