Dual Spec.. please?

Wrath was the most popular because the playerbase was already enormous when it launched… not because it was godsend. Everyone quit during and after wrath… people were not fond of wrath during wrath… in fact they complained throughout the expansion… I’m pretty sure the only time people weren’t complaining was ulduar.

Facts have a way of devastating this guys and your argument champ.

If you scroll up I actually linked an entire Twitter interview with the lead systems designer for wow from 2008-2013 Greg “ghostcrawler” street where he details his regrets in regard to dual specialization.

No, you provided opinion. You saying “It’s fact” is not indeed fact without actual evidence. If I say “Water is compromised of Hydrogen and Oxygen.” I can pull that up and provide you the scientific evidence to support it as fact. If you tried to make this BS claim of yours and try to pass it off as fact, the first thing you’d be asked for is your sources. You can’t provide anything other than your opinion that it made Wrath more successful.

You might, because healing is a specialized role that needs a special spec. But I’ve never heard anyone in a group looking for a dps say I have a BM hunter or A frost made. It’s just hunter or warlock or mage. And people are more likely to just say I have a druid whether they need a healer or dps just assuming that when you’re lf healer only resto specced druids will answer or lf dps only dps specs will answer

Is your reading comprehension impaired or is it your logic? Perhaps both?

That’s because those are pures and if they are a DPS, surprise surprise you define them by the class. I can’t believe I had to explain this one to you.

A lot of that going on. My favorite is when they say something and then end it with PERIOD. Like:

“Deathknights need to be in TBC. That’s a fact that none of you can dispute. PERIOD”

Maybe not, but for raids the leader is definitely going to ask if your rogue friend is Combat or Not-getting-invited spec.

Blizzard used to release official sub numbers and it’s a fact that Wrath had the largest number of subs so by definition it was the most popular of all the expansions.

These people have been calling me a troll for like 3 days now which is hilarious

But you have zero evidence at all that it was based on Dual Spec to any degree. I am reading actual game reviews of players and they have not stated it at all as such. So where is your proof, that the success was Dual Spec? It can be your opinion it was better. But if you want to pull this “It’s a fact because of the numbers” I need your sources as I ask of anyone else. So where is your proof it was Dual Spec?

You reading comprehension sucks. At no point did I claim that wrath was the most popular game because they added dual spec. Why do you constantly spend your time just making sht up?

yes let’s look at one point of data (total sub count) and ignore all the others (like rate of new players coming in).

Your logic is now suspect. In an argument about bringing dual-spec into TBC, what possible relevance does the popularity of Wrath of the Lich King have? Especially when it was only slightly more popular than TBC which did not have dual-spec at all. Why mention it? Why address it?

Minecraft is the highest selling game of all time. It’s a fact that the only reason it became so popular is being able to punch trees.

Every time anti dual speccers find a dev comment no matter how short or out of context if it supports their position they treat it like the word of god. If it disagrees with their views it’s propaganda to buy time or some other such nonsense

This is indeed the level of logic you get out of these folks sadly.

the only way subs increase is if new players come in. I thought that goes without saying.
