Wrong interpretation! In short: “You want more than one content? You are getting punished - so don’t ever think about to play PvE and PvP. You can only have one and for everything else you need to pay or log off!”
That was a fail design to begin with, which blizzard did realize very fast, which was the reason they decided during tbc to implement a system to avoid that (dual spec) which came with the very next expansion - you know, that expansion which was the most popular one.
Nah and yours unfortunately sucks too. Try better next time! For Redheadchild every hope is lost…
You can have multiple characters, make one for farming, make one for pvp, make one for pve. You can be suboptimal for roles by not respecting but using the same character for multiple things. Or you can pay respec costs. You not wanting to play the game isn’t a design flaw in the game. It just means it’s not the game for you.
That’s one choice. The other choice is the one I’m making with my druid. I’m speccing dps. I’d like to heal but the costs are too high. Other people make the same choice which increase the shortage of tanks and healers and makes the wait dps have group even longer.
They don’t care at all about the dps that wait for hours or often can’t find a group and end up playing most of the game solo. They just don’t care about the social aspect of the game or the community
Yeah I love how anytime someone wants to enjoy more than one content It’s a “punishment” and not an “investment” into that content. They’ll do all this stupid research to min/max, come with flasks, food and everything else. But God forbid they invest in a respec despite wanting to do more. You want to do more in anything in life, you pay more for it. So many other games follow this same model… Yet here we are. It’s a “punishment” they can’t have their way for free.
If you want to heal there is a hybrid boomkin healer spec that would work great for you. It’s not the best at either role, but it performs both reasonably well.
Dual spec removes the specs like that, smite priests, exc. It’s basically a dps that spot heals on more healing intensive fights, or a healer that spot dps on a less heal intensive fight. Odd how dual spec would remove this type of playtime that some people LIKE.
Nah, I’ll just spec dps. Then there’s no cost no sacrifice for me. I can play the whole game with just one spec. I’ll heal when there’s dual spec. That’s what I did the first time around. I waited until wrath to heal and it worked fine for me.
I personally wouldn’t get too bent out of shape if they put dual spec in. I just think the pro dual spec arguments are goofy.
I mean I understand that you don’t want to spend 50 gold but don’t tell me that it’s for the health of the game.
I could hop on a forum alt and make the following stupid forum thread and it would be akin to the posts about dual spec:
Thread title: “The Energy Tick IS Destroying WoW”
Post: “With the TBC change to feral energy WoW has spit in the face of all druids and ensured a tank shortage. This game is dying Blizz!! The only way to have enough tanks is to give druids 80 energy baseline on shift. Don’t even bother responding if you disagree as I don’t negotiate with terrorists”
Or how about this:
Thread title: “Bear Form is an Actual Human Rights Violation”
Post: “While I’m in bear form I cannot see my hard earned armor. This is a literal violation of my human rights, the terms of service, and the Geneva Convention. What harm is there in giving me customizable bear armor and claw augments? None of you sweaties can dispute this. If you disagree with me you want to hurt druids, and you’re antisocial”
Almost every one in the game has friends but it doesn’t solve a server wide problem. If there are 10 tanks and 100 people are looking for a tank 60 of them aren’t going to find a group. You plan only increases the likelihood that you’ll be one of the 40 winners that find a group. You’re proposing that only those who excel at making friends get a group. Suppose some dps does the Dale Carnegie course, How to Make Friends and Influence People, and moves out of the 60 loser category and gets a group. There’s still only 40 winners so someone in the group gets pushed into the 60 loser category.
This is such simple math. If there are 10 tanks and 100 people looking for a tank 60 people aren’t going to get a group. You can switch around who wins the friend making competition and gets a group but that doesn’t increase the number of groups server wide. The only way to increase the number of groups is to increase the number of tanks and healers.
I get that you claim you don’t have a problem because you’re more skilled than the average person at making friends. But you don’t care about the dps server wide. What you’re saying is you got yours and ef the rest
