Dual Spec.. please?

Technicality. These guys are obviously convinced of their arguments validity. If it was simply a matter of if then we coulda wrapped this whole thing up weeks if not months ago.

They say if alot. When you remind them if also means it might not happen they argue with you about it.

This happens from time to time when you’re dealing with people who flip flop from one post to another as has been shown to be the case at least 100 times.

There have been at least two dozen posts that straight up told people who oppose dual specs how stupid we are all going to look when they inevitably get added.

I think its fair to conclude those people were convinced that dual specs are guaranteed and will be implemented some time before Wrath gets released. Feel free to disagree and think there’s a big difference in splitting hairs.

Sure would be nice to freely change to my moonkin raid spec and my pvp resto spec without having to farm gold non stop to fund it

No there really haven’t. All that’s been pointed out is that blizzard is 100% okay with changes to TBC Classic and they have already made changes with far more impact than dual spec.

I dont agree but for the sake of discussion Ill roll with it and tell you that doesnt make dual specs likely or even a remote possibility - thats just your interpretation.

Its a big ‘If’. But as long as you acknowledge its probably not going to happen or a coin flip (50/50) then we’re cool.

Id posit its definitely not going to happen and if it does it wont be when enough people are around to really care.

I think it’s 50/50 at this point.

In classic I would have said no chance, in TBC Classic? 50/50 seems reasonable.

Statistics don’t mean anything. Everything is 50/50. Either it happens or it doesn’t. Prove me wrong.

Most people are convinced of their arguments validity, that’s why people make arguments.

but you don’t just remind them it might not happen.

if they made new servers for dual spec, would that count as both happens and doesn’t?

How does that follow

“It’s a QOL change, that’s why it was in private servers.”
Thus
Any QOL change would be put into private servers.

OR

Maybe it wasn’t put into private servers solely because it’s a QOL feature.

You said you read everything. Then you should have seen some of the responses when, yeah, I just simply remind them it might not happen and its also very possible Blizz isn’t even considering it at all.

Denial doesnt even begin to describe it.

If it was simply a matter of if and it was all in Blizzards hands, which we all agree on, then this discussion should be over by now. We all agreed on the essential elements of the discussion so why it it still going eh?

People have straight up argued with me on the if factor. People have taken me head on for saying its all a matter of preference and opinion even though it is. People who say if and then argue with you on it when you say it dont really believe in if.

If you want to take them at face value and believe them thats certainly your prerogative. Im gonna remain skeptical if thats okay.

I’d imagine to pass the time. and a few people have admitted to just commenting to bump the post up for exposure.

Dont people just say ‘bump’ when bumping a thread for exposure? Why do they pick an adversary and unload in this thread?

I mean, a poster offered an extremely reasonable suggestion that you can game plan better to make current TBC respeccing less of a burden (like you should be doing anyway because you dont really have any other options but to play the game the way its designed to be played - specialization choices are supposed to have some weight in TBC) and got roasted.

And it was also very reasonably pointed out that if you don’t like dual spec you can simply not use it.

Me not using dual specs doesnt make it a dual specless version of TBC that Im playing and my interest lies in not having dual specs in TBC because it will affect me regardless.

Well feywaif hates me, so that’s one reason.

We could all just get along but I dont see that happening.

You haven’t exactly been the prime example of polite or kind.

Like youre in any position to judge. Im already on record as saying Im passed the point of courtesy and I cant be blamed for that.

I tried being nice but it didnt work out and Im not gonna let trolls get in the way of what Im doing. If you got a problem with that its your problem. There’s an ignore button.

Eh, well I disagree. I think objective history, things we’ve been able to witness and interpret for ourselves tell a clear story that dual spec is unlikely.

I don’t even think there’s an element of chance here, dual spec simply doesn’t meet the requirements of needing Blizzard’s attention in a way the other things they’ve changed have.

If they do implement it, it won’t be because the coin landed on the right side, it will be because Blizzard made a massive error and made a clearly incorrect choice for their product (they do this all the time).

almost 6000 posts and u still ain’t gettin’ dual spec
