I know. And I am not claiming that as a reason not to change it.
I am claiming that, unlike other changes, this specific change actually breaks the intended purpose of the existing mechanic. It doesn’t fix an exploit or address an unintended result of the old mechanic in a new context - it literally breaks the intended design goal of the mechanic working exactly in the way it is intended.
Now here’s another important bit - it does so with very little evidence of benefit to the game in my view. It is conceivable that a change should be added that breaks a design goal of the original. But there is a higher burden to establish benefit in such cases in my opinion. A burden you haven’t come anywhere close to reaching in this case in my view.
Of course you will now take all the nuance out of that and reduce it incorrectly to “#nochanges at all costs”.
This conversation is like you grabbing my knee and repeatedly headbutting it while I try and pull away, all the while crying out “stop kneeing me in the head! Look I’m being assaulted!”. When I claim I’m not and tell you to stop making it up you claim I’m contradicting myself. Next level absurdity.
By now it should be painfully clear that there are some entities in this conversation whos’ only goal ia to win the argument by simply driving the other side insane, and trying to get us to stumble over word choice or semantics.
You and I both know who those actors are. I unignored them today, as I’m going to attempt to look at every post they make for what it is, purposeful gaslighting.
I could say the same exact thing I know almost every single person I talk to on my Server This would be one million percent in favor of dulswack I also know.
The reason why there’s a lot less people posting about it is because I just don’t think blizzard would listen.
As far as people it hurt At that point that’s Opinion Because I would really question who does it hurt quite frankly.
Do tell how It goes quite frankly it doesn’t Is there is no real part of the player base it really actually hurts.
As far as idea I’ve seen plenty of Poles I’ve seen plenty of evidence to say that Just as many people that do want it don’t want it if I’m giving my estimate I would say is about 50/50.
Because realistically Is any poll I could say or voting thing or whatever you want to call it on the Internet you could always make the argument well that’s easily altered.
So do tell Is what player does it actually hurt?
It’s because it’s not hardcore and it’s not casual Is the only player base I actually see that would technically cough cough hurt if you want to call it that.
This would be the people that say I don’t want it in the game because it wasn’t in the game originally.
This is quite possibly the funniest thing I’ve ever seen you type.
Your only argument is #somechanges. You have nothing else. Every time you try, it’s some variation of #somechanges, kicking the buck to Blizzard’s ability or open window to “do what they want” as if that somehow justifies dual spec.
It’s all you got.
It hurts the product that I was advertised and makes it worse at what I was promised it would be. You’re taking away my dual-spec-less TBC permanently, with no other alternative available. Meanwhile, you have alternatives that have multi-speccing functionalities.
Why don’t you just ask for a season of the legion after TBCC and get all your little fun-changes added to it, like season of mastery, instead of ruining things that other people like, like a selfish brat?
