No I can tell you I’m on a dead server too Why do you think I’m in such favor of duel speck.
So it’s not a nightmare and a 1/2 for tanks and killers to quest and farm because unfortunately there’s a lot of times when you don’t get groups or anyone’s making a group.
And yes I am in a Gill but I can tell you where all in different time zones I can only raid during the weekend.
So yeah we do have a lot of people but we can’t all be on at the same time so it’s a juggling act.
So yeah I don’t always have the luxury too Get into dungeon groups and for the record I am a tank.
And I’ve never once Is charged someone to tank for them Quite frankly I think it’s a horrible way to be.
And although I don’t think dual speck is going to solve it nor have I ever claimed it you can’t deny it’s not going to help it.
No because people who Dual spec are adding their own content block by refusing to do content because they are not “optimal”
Correct but if youre blizzard and youre seeing participation in a specific content is low because of a time barrier that just prevents people from playing the game. You find a solution for it.
Show me where dual spec solves 1.5 hour queue times
No its not. You can participate in a BG as any spec. You can run a respec put 0 talent in and show up naked and still participate
This. People are literally finding ways to do crazy specs and complete the game with shaman tanks. There was a guild of all shamans in classic vanilla that downed Ony with a shaman tank and i believe 39 other shamans ONLY
Im all for people finding new ways and more challenging ways to play the game. The only reason i CONSIDERED playing a shaman was because i wanted to try shaman tanking LOL
This applies to raids as well… which makes your point rather pointless. Everyone can do whatever they want, but their success will vary dramatically. If you’re going to resort to special pleading for raiding but nothing else, you’re just being elitist and irrational.
The only thing that “bars” you from playing is a subscription. There’s a bit more to this game than that.
If dual spec helped the tank and healer issue to a noticeable degree why has retail added over a dozen other changes to help the tank and healer issue and still has a shortage?
And on my dead server I don’t have issues grouping, and I regularly group with healer friends to help them do quests if they ask and I am not busy.
If you’re in a guild that can only play with you at raid time, maybe you’re in the wrong guild?
Find a guild that can regularly meet your time of play. If you are a weekend warrior that’s your own fault though.
I don’t know about on your server but on my server it did quite a bit.
I remember rather lynching and I’m not going to say that the number of tanks skyrocketed.
But I’ll say it like this Is a lot of people I know started taking when dual speck was introduced including myself I might add.
Is now granted again different player base and I’m not going to stay ever single dungeonite taint was perfect because I guess I was still learning but I’ll say it.
There was quite a few more healers and tanks on my server after dual speckless introduce.
Show me where HvH solves the time it takes to respec to your offspec.
But this is the third time you’ve derailed this conversation with this. I’ve pointed it out three times so far how this is a time issue which affects both parts of the game. I don’t know why you keep returning to this because it’s not what’s being talked about now. If you return to this again, I’m going to assume you simply aren’t actually reading anything I write. In which case this conversation can’t go anywhere.
Yes it is. The ability to participate has nothing to do with rate of participation.
Feels like we are on a merri-go-round.
You
do
not
need
to
respec
to
pvp
Its not, Dual spec is a convenience to be optimal at all times
HvH is a solution to be able to participate in content that would prevent people from playing
Correct, Which is why retail has free respecs and adaptive gear stats and people still dont wanna tank. Or why people still choose non optimal specs when pvping
I read it a few times and it doesn’t make sense to me what you’re saying here. Maybe reword it?
You don’t need HvH to PvP either. We’ve been over this and I’ve said (four times now) this particular point is irrelevant because accessibility isn’t the issue here. It is the rate of accessibility. Please acknowledge this or we can’t move forward.
People were not prevented from playing the game before HvH.
Saying this defeats your entire stance.
You already mentioned how people do not need to respec to PvP, yet acknowledging there are “optimal” specs is also an acknowledgement that people recognize there are optimal specs and would therefore be incentivized to respec when they do PvP.
If you want to say some people don’t or the game doesn’t require you to respec, then we can go right back into talking about how high queue times do not make BGs any less accessible.
You’re going through a lot of mental gymnastics for the purpose of not acknowledging the simple fact that HvH is a change made for player convenience. Which, as I’ve illustrated, is the exact reason why Dual Spec would work in practice as another method of convenience.
Youre implying Dual Spec solves the problem of “rate of accessibility” for people to be able to respec and pvp when they want.
What if i told you, you dont have to respec to pvp and the only reason you are doing so is because you refuse to be less than optimal. Thus CREATING YOUR OWN BARRIER TO PVP
The difference between your problem and mine is. You can choose to not pvp in an optimal spec. I cant choose to have more time on WoW. its physically impossible
You did if you were a player that didnt have more than 3 hours a day to play which is many of us now considering many of us have jobs
No because not everyone cares about being optimal. In the same way that you could run a DW Arms/Fury build that has sword spec, mortal strike, flurry, and enrage. And be useful in both Pve and PVP just by changing gear.
They absolutely make the game less accessible, People cant just quit their jobs to play WoW all day. Some people have that luxury. Many do not
You’re the one claiming that it was impossible for you to pvp with hvh BG’s.
I mean you could have switched factions, you could have simply lived with the queues, you could have pvp’d without a full honor set, but nope utterly impossible.
But nope, utterly impossible, you couldn’t pvp without your QOL improvement.
Yes because I and many other people can only play 3-4 hours a day so that means either 1 or 0 games per day depending on the roulette of the queue which was only getting longer as the days went
You could level a 70 alt to farm a massive amount of gold in a short time so that you can always have money to respec on a whim
Again that means i am likley not able to play a single battleground
We arent even talking about gear at this point but ok
