Not my or their problem
Then what was that analogy good for? It didn’t support your point at all. It was just:
I want a red car. And because the car was promoted to be red you can’t ask the company to make it blue now.
But you are obviously wrong: We can ask them! And when they are smart, they should react to it!
Two types of players do this primarily:
-
pvp players who swap between a pvp and pve spec multiple times a week
-
hybrid classes that fill a dungeon or raids needs (ie druid swapping between tank or healer depending on what a group needs)
A lot of players who would have been in these categories just avoid playing the content they want to to avoid paying these respec costs.
Would dual spec solve all of tbc low pvp participation and lack of heals/tanks? No, but I think it would help.
With so many other game breaking changes already made (PAID BOOST), adding THIS ONE quality of life feature from wotlk (that was actually requested by the players in original tbc) wouldn’t ruin the game.
It absolutely did.
What was offered was red cars, if you didnt want a red car then you shouldnt have bought it.
You can quite easily wait till they start offering blue cars to buy blue. But to demand that they give up making red cars because you knowingly bought a red car and then DEMAND blue is entitled to the max.
But people overall love the car, but want it to be blue now instead of red. A good company would say “Here you go, have fun!
”
So a good company has to cater to your exact whims at all times?
A good customer should know what they are buying and acknowledge the pros and cons before buying a product.
Think the name for you types is called Karens?
A good company react to the wishes of their customers. And when most customer ask them to make the car blue, they make it blue!
And how do you know enough customers are asking for it to justify the investment of resources? You got that customer data? You got the risk analysis information?
I would argue a better company than one who does nothing but chase the lowest common denominator is one that holds to what was promised, rather than change based on the whims of entitled people who want to change the product away from what was offered.
First of all: There is no investment needed, they already have enough unused blue paint in stock!
Second: There are enough polls that have proven it!
And Third: The best thing is, that it doesn’t affect anyone. The people who wants it, takes it. The others can live happy without, not even realizing it’s there.
So you know nothing about programming then?
You think its just plug and play?
If I go to a cat convention and poll attitudes towards cats would you say that is representative of the general population? What was the methodology behind the questions?
I could make the same arguement for literally anything in the game. Put free gear on the vendors, dont want it? Dont buy it! You can spend weeks and dozens of hours getting the same thing I got for free, it doesnt impact your enjoyment at all right?
They already have developed dual spec. They don’t need to code it again, just adapt it to the system. That is done in just a very few hours of work, as anybody with programming experience would know!
So again, you know nothing about programming is that correct?
You think the dual spec code is sitting in its own little pocket by itself? not linked or tied to anything else?
Actually, it couldn’t be more far away from being correct.
And you think they need to change the whole core of the game? It’s just a little feature. The gui is already made, the code itself is there, they just need to adapt it.
It’s more like adding a button to the forum that would allow you to write with yellow or purple color, not an entire new forum system. It doesn’t even affect other game mechanics as much, as also the api is already there for it.
So you know how it was coded into their system then?
Also I am not the ones making claims about how it is. I dont know so naturally it would be idiotic for me to claim something when I dont actually have any specific information about it.
I know how I would make it and since they probably have some developers that are as smart and have way more experience, I am very curtain it’s not as big of a deal as you are trying to make it.
But I could return the question: Do you know how it was coded into their system? If not, why are you trying to act like it’s super hard if you know nothing about it?
I dont know how it is coded, I am not the one claiming it is simple. For all I know the person who did it put in some weird thing 10+ years ago and no one knows how to do it without having to start everything from scratch.
True, you are claiming it’s hard…!
No, I am claiming I dont know. I never once said it was hard. I said it could be
cant believe they enabled same faction bg but not dual spec.
