Dual Spec is NOT a QOL Change

They do not. In fact the average player quits before 60. I see you want to start talking about my logs now, which is hilarious.

My goal is to bring some chemo to parser culture that has become a pestilence on classic. Any change that helps it along is bad imo. And yes, I understand you take the opposite position because you enjoy talking about how you’re better than people or whatever it is you do. To each their own on that one.

They already are.

I already pointed this out.

You and the other 2 don’t care about the integrity of the game.

All you care about is trying to make the game worse for better players.

It’s a very deranged way to go about things. It reveals a lot about who you are.

Preserving the culture of classic is a virtue. Degen parse culture is a plague on it.

“Beauty comes from the inside”

For those that pvp DS is QOL. If you dont pvp then I get it, but those of use who do we get destroyed speccing for both raiding and pvp. All I did in 2019 was re-spec 2-3 times a week and when I wasnt having fun playing the game I was having to farm so I could pay for the damn respec.

Do you think simply lowering the cost and gold cap of the respec so you don’t go broke when swapping for PvP and raids would alleviate that issue?

Then, there’s essentially no change to the gameplay of Vanilla, but you’re still able to swap specs for PvP and raids without having to farm such a large amount of gold and everybody wins.

Personally I agree that the cost is pretty high if you’re swapping every week multiple times, but I think just adding dual spec as it exists in SoD or Wotlk with no restrictions is too much of a massive change to the game that’s unnecessary if this problem can be solved in a much less invasive way.

Why not just use a spec that does both decently instead of demanding the ability to min max both activities? I understand this desire in other games, but this is classic era and that’s not a thing. Classic era isn’t for everyone.

If you aren’t able to find enjoyment in a game where you can’t minmax all aspects, then it’s not for you. Classic is more about building a character and specializing in what’s most important to you, or settling on a hybrid that can moderately do both well.

The idea that there are people who would demand meta specs because of dual spec that wouldn’t do the same without it is comical

Yes, parsing culture is comically irrational. But here we are.

Yet you’re using that claim as your primary defense against dual spec. So, you’re just here to be confrontational for no reason, it seems

It would work against a minmax use of time to fill 40 man public pugs with sim specs right now. It would be much easier and faster to do if everyone had two specs tho. My only goal here is to push back against the invasive parsing culture that has no place in classic.

Dual spec would only serve to make their lives easier, thus propagate it.

You’re far, far, far too late, buddy

No, it’d be worse with dual spec.

Don’t ignore all of the other good reasons and compromises that have been suggested in this thread to address any issues with respecs without massively changing the game.

Why is the compromise of simply lowering respec costs so players who want to respec for PvP or PvE don’t go broke so fast not good enough for you?

Allow me to reiterate

That’s not what I asked.

I didn’t respond to you

I know, I’m waiting for you to.

Well you’re free to have your opinion, but if pugs could form quickly with all sim specs, that would be the meta. If they can’t form quickly, then it won’t be the meta – since the content is very easy. You’re free to disagree. I just find it irrational.
