Literally asking for things from SOD, lmfao.
Can’t make this stuff up.
I believe that blue post says “preserve gameplay as it was in 2019” or something akin to that.
I think dual spec is great, but it should be implemented in such a way that both parties can agree on.
You gotta go back to a major so gameplay is unaffected, but it’s a onetime upfront cost that people now don’t need to pay on order to play the game how they like. Win win.
Youre an extreme minority.
It’s 2024 and people enjoy quality of life stuff that makes the game more enjoyable.
Imagine wanting the game to be less enjoyable on purpose.
People assuming “wasting your time” is the same thing as “slow gameplay”
The gameplay is preserved.
People swapped specs all the time anyways.
People hearthed and used warlock summons to do it instantly.
The gameplay is only changing if you look at it with some skewed vision and start making things up that don’t exist.
No dual-spec, only perma world buffs, lol.
We’re getting the chrono whether we like it or not. I just want the game to be accessible to people without majorly changing gameplay.
Similar to dual spec, I’m not advocating no changes, I’m advocating for an addition to the game that makes both sides happy.
No more dumping 100g a week if you have to play healer and wanna do something else, but you have to walk a little bit to do it.
Pretty fair of you ask me.
Now as to the chrono cost, we can all agree the chronoboon was a good change, why punish people with a gold tax on it? Just like dual spec, a cheaper chrono is better for accessibility reasons and doesn’t affect gameplay negatively.
We won’t have to walk a bit.
That doesn’t add enjoyment.
It defeats the whole purpose of dual spec.
Like I said before, I’m with you. No matter how it gets implemented it won’t break the game. I’m advocating for compromises that makes both sides of the community happy.
We get dual spec, they get it so we gotta go back to a major in order to use it.
Fair is fair and both sides can live together.
Your preference for changes is all over the place dude.
When I play, I am a Rogue. I am not a Combat Rogue. I am a Rogue. I have always been able to swap specs.
Having dual spec doesn’t lessen my character. It enhances it.
Not the WHOLE purpose.
The gold cost of respecting every week was the biggest block to gameplay accessibility for people who just didn’t have that kind of money. And having to walk a bit is barely an impact.
If you have a mage or warlock around you won’t even have to walk. But the effort must still be made regardless.
A major block was having to waste time going to a trainer.
Now we don’t have to.
It will be implemented the same as Wrath/SoD.
Yeah, I’ve had the inventory conversation with people before and I guess I’m just not a person who understands it except there’s an extreme like retail where I have massive bags and I feel like nothing matters, or a feel like there’s no space at all and that feels bad.
But apparently much wiser game designers than I explained that a gameplay loop that involves going to major cities or towns for supplies, freeing up space, etc. makes you take more note of the world, and also are present in it as someone running by.
Apparently the effect of having you out in the world with a mini-goal is a good thing.
Even if it’s making you go to duskwood and run by a level 25 levelling or a level 60 fresh Hunter, sometimes it impacts others having you be out of your bubble doing things. And inventories are apparently a way to keep that alive

^ WoW Classic Game Designer
Read that quote to understand what wise game designers understood and why they developed the game to include these “tedious” things.
And why removing these “tedious” things does in fact make the game worse in many cases.
Do you understand that was because it was the first time people were ever playing and they wanted people to explore and feel immersed?
Well it’s 2024 and we been playing the game for 20 years.
We don’t need that anymore.
Logic.
No, it really isn’t. I don’t think they have added anything bad. Just looking for compromises.
Gbanks
Ranking change
Dual Spec
Debuff limit removal
Everything else that has been claimed
Are all good for the game. And dual spec will not break the game however they add it in.
But for compromise reasons with the people who are no changes hardliners, having to go back to a major is a small sacrifice to make for gameplay cohesion. Classic is about making effort and having to walk a bit is a little effort
Not having to fork over a bunch of gold every week is the real win
You won’t get what you want.
You don’t play classic to feel immersed in a living world?
That’s a pretty major draw of what makes classic classic.
What do you play the game for then?
Not trying to make that sound snarky, just genuinely curious.
I get immersed in 100 other ways.
Running to a trainer to be able to play pvp is not immersive at all in any way.
bring on dual spec lets go!
