Dual Spec is NOT a QOL Change

Wait if the gold cap isn’t punishing then why even have it?

We already do.

but im confused as to whyyyy that is bugging you at all. People can do that anyways, you’re literally trading one lump sum for the nickle and diming of a traditional respec…

How does it affect you that some random Andy online can PvP and PvE with the same rogue on a whim? What is the actual issue with that.

Because people have to at least think about it, and they can’t just do it anywhere in the world at any time. If you’re just swapping in and out hundreds of times then your DPS can also be your tank for everything in the perfect min-maxed spec. People aren’t playing tanks or healers anymore, they’re everything. It doesn’t seem like classic to me.

I understand you can swap gear and already do that, but not perfectly. This is something that’s just part of classic.

Your dps can already be the tank and vice versa.

Nothing changes.

I don’t think we’re going to get anywhere on this argument. Everybody has their own idea of what classic should be.

And my idea is fun.

Not adding road blocks for no logical reason when they are making other major changes.

I’ll leave that up to Blizzard. If they want to change it to dual spec, I’m not going to protest. This really is not a hill I’m willing to die on.

When I play Shaman or Paladin… I might be your healer one moment or your tank or dps the next…
literally swapping gear alone changes everything I do FAR more than talents and it is ONLY when you get to much higher levels do talents actually start to play a bigger role.

Jack and Jill went up the hill, both with a buck and a quarter.

I think dual spec is just healthier for the game in general.

For example I have a druid, sometimes I’ll be afk in org looking for something to do and new players will be looking for a tank for strat UD or UBRS or something… but I’m currently resto.

Is it really worth it for me to spend 100g just to go do a single dungeon?

Dual spec allows me to just hop into their dungeon and hop out without spending 100g on a respec and wasting time on talents.

I’m always in favour of changes that keep more dungeons and activities flowing.

  • It’s called a gold sink sir, the game needs WAY WAY WAY WAY more gold sinks anyways.
  • The world will not end if you pvp in your raiding build. You’ll do fine and no one in AV will care.
  • This is an incentive to go farm gold, which is something that the general playerbase has forgotten is an important part of World of Warcraft.

this whole argument is pointless. Blizzard isnt fixing the botting issue, they just arent, they wont. the inflation is way more than the player can do on their own. You asking for “gold sinks” in a market dominated by bots superficially driving down costs of EVERYTHING. Im supposed to go out in the world to farm crap that 10 bots are farming? Because hell - we cant farm dungeons, because boosting is bad, you cant farm BRD as a rogue pickpocketing because now blizzards gotta make a debuff so you cant. I cant pull more than 2 groups without them starting to stun me, becoming immune to slow, and speeding up, till I die. Black lotus are camped (unless you allow them to be a chance proc from high level herbs) but then not only are they still camped, but BL is now worthless. They were like 4g on SoD when the phase hit for them. Unless they release dailies we can all do for gold, players are not making any gold anywhere. Its ridiculous.

AND ITS A MEGA SERVER, blizzard caps layers at 10-12k players… SEEMINGLY locked to ONE SERVER per type. All bots on ONE server. You know what combats bots? anything that allows players to easily attain gold driving the need for it to be unnecessary. Since GDKPs are now banned, whats the issue.

Hell, this WHOLE CRAP would be fixed if blizzard AT LEAST let the players moderate themselves. I mean if NO ONE ELSE is able to do it at their $70b company, at least have player mods for bots.

The changes that are present to “combat gold inflation” literally puts the entire player base at the mercy of the bots. Plus factor in getting ganked in a pvp server for competing resources, let me just tell you how much of a hellhole that sounds like.

Oh they are making other changes, so may as well just add more.
Why stop at dual spec? Why not mounts at level 20? Epic riding at level 40? Why not add the ability to queue for BGs from the honor menu? Why not remove rank requirements for pvp gear and implement the honor currency system? Why not add wotlk LFD system? Why not add personal loot? Why not add raid finder?

If you cant provide a “logical” reason against all these changes, then you are a low IQ sponge just trying to make the game more annoying for good players.

Can you tell me a downside please?

I only see the good that will come from it. I would love to tank and heal, but with no dual spec, I can´t, as leveling as a tank or heal is a nightmare.

A lot of that will come later

Idk what you consumed but damn you feeling good brother. Lets just say “My definition/Opinion” and yes after swapping spec a few times and reach 50g cap per swap will def affect your gameplay in vanilla. Dual spec is qol haha like facepalm.

Classic is meant to be tedious. Making the game easier goes against the spirit of why people yearned for classic in the first place.
Also you can tank/heal perfectly fine in leveling spec.

Never thought I’d see so many people upset about something that will make the game objectively better. Let tanks and healers be able to farm outside of their main spec without a giant barrier to do so. Let PvP players do bgs and raids without being punished with a gold sink. If dual spec offends you so much - don’t use it.

You know what else will make the game objectively better?

Mounts at 20 and epic riding at 40.
Personal loot.
Replace ranking with honor currency.
Why not add in flying mounts too!
