Druid vs rogue PvP

I can kill a similar leveled rogue pretty easy… bear form + thorns, and they cant get passed the armor. even if they use the move they get to lower armor, the amount they lower it by is trivial to a bear.

JMHO… but feral PvP happens in bear form with damage gear

Theres no way in hell any druid will do enough damage to even 50% hp a good lock.

Maybe right now while they’re in dookie gear but feral is trash at 60.

SL lock can sac pet twice + health stones with fear and death coil

That reduce armor talent they have should never be used on High armor targets, if they’re using it vs a bear they’re 100% trash in pvp.

Druid wins it in bear form. Druid should lose if opened up on out of bear form. Most of the time druid would lose if they have no idea how to play the matchup.

In terms of bursting down an unsuspecting or priority target? Rogues by a large margin.

But if you’re out in the world and you’re the one getting ganked, Druids have a far better shot at out-sustaining the aggressor and turning the tables.

The self-sustain of Druids on top of their ability to sit bear and shift out for quick heals between CC let’s them prolong fights and outlast their enemies, or reset fights as many times as they want. With a Rogue you get one, maybe 2 resets maximum against a good player between Vanish and Blind/Re-stealth. If you have Prep, you get to do both of these twice, but the following still applies.

Blind can be countered by Dwarves/Pallies, and most classes with trinket in Phase 2, whereas Vanish can be countered by any class with an instant AoE followup such as Warriors, Druids, Shamans, Paladins, Priests, Warlocks, Mages, and Hunters (who you couldn’t vanish against anyway if they keep you marked).

Meanwhile a druid has near infinite reset potential just by virtue of being able to travel form or cat-sprint for distance into a restealth.

Feral are doodoo along with the rest of the class. People talk about healing factor but after I blast them for 1.6k of their health in a combo they normally start running away probably crying and rerolling their class on the way out. Rogue on the other hand by the time I realize I’m being destroyed I have lost 3/4ths of my health and I rarely have enough time to cast enough spells to kill them before they sprint at me. Rogues are a lot easier to manage if I know they are coming or they for some reason gank me while my barrier is up, but 9/10 when I get jumped by a rogue they are waiting for my barrier to wear out so they can crit me for a billion on opener. Point is rogue has far more burst than feral druid, feral is way too dot heavy to do any meaningful damage before I nova blink ice barrier or block their dot

You are ridiculous. If you take the time to get your gear as a rogue you should stand a good chance vs any class 1v1. They don’t need to blow every cooldown every fight to win. The main factor for rogues is initiative. If a rogue is the first one to attack they have a solid chance of winning the fight because you are always playing catch up at that point to recover from whatever they did to you.

Doesn’t matter if they have Evasion Sprint and Vanish available to them. They can stun, interrupt, slow, disarm, and do burst damage all with short cooldowns.

They need to blow every cd to beat me on just about any class. Any skilled pvp’r can handle a rogue with their cds down unless its a gank.

Sure if i’m half hp or pulling mobs or something which is usually what a rogue does.

Rogues get massively buffed at the start of BC for a reason guy. Its 2019 where everyone keybinds and knows how to counter each other making rogues even worse.

Rogue, short cooldowns… LOL what game are you playing? Prep is 10 mins everything else is 5min. You can’t vanish dots.

they actually play pretty different roles. druids are not really stealth gankers, they are flag runners that can win 1 on 1s by kiting, using bear form and even caster dots. you dont sit in cat form as feral, you use your energy and shift if you are getting hit

rogues are good, despite what some people say. you have to be pretty good yourself though and know when to attack , they are the stealth gankers. in bgs you get the flag back and cap towers. in group fights dont go after the warrior in mid, go for the back lines and mess with ranged/healers

get restorative potions too, this can remove dots so you can vanish and freezing traps which screws over hunters. also have thislte tea at all times, can be used along with potions

READ WHAT I SAID. They don’t need all the long cooldowns to be viable in a fight they only need to get the first shot off… call it a gank if you want it is just attacking from stealth before the other person.
The only cooldowns a rogue should worry about at the start of a fight that they start is Kick (10 seconds) Kidney Shot (20 Seconds) Gouge (10 Seconds) Riposte if combat ( 6 seconds). A rogues fight plan should involve Stuns, Burst Damage, Interrupts, and Slows. It should not involve Vanish, Sprint, Evasion ETC. Those are always plan B.

I tend to spend most of my time on WoW pvping… just want to make sure rogue is the right pick for it…I thought it was before people started saying they’re poo. Aren’t rogues supposed to be the best world pvp class?

Your me a priest saying rogues a strong in classic? You play a rogue? Cause don’t u mulch rogues? Lol

There isn’t a ‘best’ class. It’s all rock paper scissors. Every class has classes they are weak too, and classes they are strong against.

Last night I was stomping rogues flat, but then a frost mage would come along and wreck me cause I couldn’t get anywhere near him. But then my warlock buddy would show up and wreck the mage. Meanwhile the rogue respawns and destroys the warlock.

Mute would like to speak to all of you about Rogues.

Both are good Rogue would be the better all out killer he has more tools. Druid however would be able to stun and heal himself or run away un snareable, unsheepable etc…

Both classes can win 99% of their wpvp encounters just because they can pick their battles with stealth. Aside from stealth though both classes are completely different - so pick the class that interests you more. Rogues are all about burst / cc / managing cooldowns, while druids are all about poke and run tactics / sneaky supporting.

Wow how the tide ebs and flows? You posted 5 days ago how Rogues were killing you and it was the end of Hunters as we know it?

In vanilla wow, no class can kill all the others…rogues are going to suck against high armor targets as they are purely physical damage…

without the PvP trinkets… unless you are undead, your ability to get out of fears etc… is severely hampered.

Is that so? So my Hemo spec using garrotte, rupture and Hemo serrated blades ignoring armor coupled with a expose armor means i suck at pvp?

I hope to come across you sometime…

if you are using them against a bear it does…which is what the convo was about…

the amount of armor you can negate is negligible to a bear… cause we have so much…

you are much better off using poisons and hoping that they shift out to cast abolish, and attempting to stun and burst them down before they can get back to bear.

Bleeds ignore all armor value. so his white hits may not do much but if he can stack bleeds on you and get a slow on you he can probably get you to shift to try to heal and then try to stun lock you and burst you. That is unless you do the normal druid thing and HOT up and GTFO.
