Not specifically class vs class, but in terms of them vs all other classes and world PvP … which is better?
As Alliance? Druids are better. Rogues have lots of troubles vs Hunters, Warriors. Frost Mages, Warlocks, Spriests, and Orc Shamans. You pretty much need all cooldowns/Prep + thistle tea + restorative potion + engineering just to have a chance killing someone. Druids dont have all that harsh reliance, and stand a much better chance against the classes mentioned above.
That depends heavily on the spec and gear of the druid. If you want to be feral, you’re generally better off picking a rogue. Druids tend to do better against mages and warriors than rogues do, but far far worse against the other casters.
Druid is pretty much a free kill for Warlocks and Priests.
Assuming SL and shadow: Well, who isn’t?
Other warlocks and priests lol.
It would be horde. Wow i thought rogues were Wpvp kings
most 1v1 in open world everyone is blowing cooldowns anyway. and fights dont generally happen within 5m of each other. so rogue cooldowns arent a huge issue unless you are talking about BG. rogues in open world PvP are like this: if they catch you first, you lose. if you catch them out of stealth, they lose.
a properly built and geared feral druid will be a pain in the butt for most classes to kill because of sheer survivability. that being said you arent going to delete anyone…ever. and like the poster said above, warlocks and Spriests are aids and a druid will never win that fight.
I’d say rogue.
The only thing that makes druids good in PvP is they can run away better than anyone else.
No seriously, that’s the only reason.
As Druid you have a pretty good 1v1 match-up against most classes. Usually you can either burst them down enough to put them on the defensive or survive their initial burst, run away, heal up and basically slowly wear them down. Except vs Warlocks and Priests because you can’t really burst them down and they will outlast the Druid in an extended fight, all though they can’t really catch you if you just run away from them.
Not too sure about how Rogues fare vs other classes.
Druids require more precision to play by far, as a few shifts too much or a shift at a bad time means life or death.
Rogue is capable of beating every class in the game if played correctly and if you have enough preperation for said fight. Druids, currently, can not win vs any decent hunter/priest/lock.
The reason is the mana burn bug, that allows players to mana burn you while in animal form. So you will always run oom each fight. Your hots get dispelled and you are oom and Innervate can be dispelled too. Viper sting can be removed by abolish poison but the constant shifting costs you the fight and ignoring it isnt an option either.
Druid is pretty decent vs warriors, def a good counter to mages and also good against rogues if you do not screw up or rng does not hate you. Shamans just purge you and you will not kill any paladin as a druid. Maybe as very good geared feral with powershifting, which again is always a gamble as you can run Oom.
Druid is more fun in world PvP imho because you do not rely on Cds as much as rogue and you can get away rather quickly from any encounter.
But overall 1v1, rogue is def. the better class in terms of “winning” chances. You can beat a good lock as rogue just fine, but as druid you might as well go afk, unless you stack resistence gear and only if they ever fix the mana burn bug.
If I get the drop on warlocks I can usually beat them–they really hate Bash and Feral Charge interrupting their fear…they are more difficult for sure, but, a free kill–definitely not. PvP trinket will make it even easier.
Shadow priest though…yeah they are tough.
An SL warlock literally doesn’t need to fear you to win. He can just dot dot dot then drain until you die, even allowing for bash and feral charge interrupts on the drain. And if he does want to, he’ll just deathcoil you into fear.
Druid is just straight helpless against SL. If im up against an SL lock. I just run away on my druid. No point in trying to fight that.
This has not been my experience…but we can agree to disagree!
Not really, I mean sure I can’t beat them but they can’t catch me if I just run away.
You can run ye but thats it. Srlsy any druid who thinks they can beat a half decent sl lock with fel hunter up is straight up inexperienced or delusional.
Don’t listen to all the plebs that tell you rogues are good in pvp.
Rogues are great with ALL CDS ready. Without CDS up rogue is easily smacked by most classes.
They’re without a doubt exceptional gankers, with cds up.
Group pvp they sit on FC’s in the base or guard a node. They’re average at best for BGS and sometimes don’t even get a premade spot.
I think its going to be a matter of a lot of circumstances, but generally I would think rogue has the edge in 1v1 pvp, where a druid has its edge in group/bgs. Both require skill in the end though and can do great in all pvp situations.
The problem with druids being good in pvp is how you gear.
Resto/moon or dreamstate. You will be running flags or guarding bases just like a rogue but druids are damn near unkillable in wpvp like legit unkillable.
If you’re going to lose the fight you have 100 ways to run away. Watch sodapoppin duel outside org for 10g per duel. He beats everyone minus the really good locks and Spriests.
True, but even UD rogues with the BS trinket are going to lose to a good SL lock.
This is probably what I am experiencing–just bad warlocks…I open up with a Ravage or Pounce and most of the warlocks just kind of panic. If I can grenade/Bash/Feral Charge them they are manageable.
But yeah…if they open up on me first, I don’t stand a chance.
