Drake fang talisman loot priority

As a shadow priest wannabe, I feel your pain. I hate this meta slave mentality. Everything is warrior prio, even healing gear!

We have a feral druid for nef, he even tanks as cat when the class call comes. We gave him dft. Everyone seemed ok with it. Even the warriors

MCP farming isn’t the most fun but Feral can still output extremely respectable dps without it

Power shifting is legitimately fun and interesting (still relatively easy). Whats holding you back from performing at the top of your raid is

  1. Waiting 10+ seconds to engage on many bosses
  2. Butchering your rotation e.g opening with claws on broodlord, not a single use of Tigers Fury on Vael, using shred 3 or more times then shifting and using ferocious bite as your first ability following a shift?? etc.
  3. A lack of MCP (a 10-15% dps increase get on it, only 7 per raid)

Both 1 and 2 gimp your dps way more than MCPs ever will.

More weapons and rogue tier gear should be changed to rogue/druid.

Hunter prio.

no one will give druid or sham anything just reroll if you want your guild to give u anything good

The thing about bear hit gear that makes it’s so damm important is that it frees up slots that use inferior threat/mitigation with 1% hit. Band of Accuria, dft, shadow flame boots, all give 2% hit which is huge and allows you to pump more mitigation and threat (agi) into other pieces (wsg wrists, elementium cape vs zg hit cape, furor eye for crit, or armor rings vs hit rings, etc).

Pieces with 2% hit allow for you to min max other slots so much better. I guess the same would apply to melee dps as well. But there are alternative dps trinkets coming out that are on use.

While melee dps set pieces might have more hit in future content, there are no bear tank sets with natural hit, so getting those key hit pieces that are end game bis are amazing.

Do your warriors have issues with keeping threat?

Pretty sure they only don’t count during a speed run. The logs are still present in other categories.

Ah, there you go.

IMO powershifting gives Classic druids their identity. I’m a fan.

To be fair, compared to what is achievable today, we very much were.

There were people try harding in vanilla, it was just a lot less common. Those are the people who went to the private servers and made it popular, and here we are. Its nothing new, just now everyone does it.

Try harding for their day. I’d be very surprised to see a player reliably hit 3k dps back then.

Watch an old world first video and marvel at how they play.

EXACTLY.

Feral gear is so rare, that stuff like this is HUGE. Not just for the single slot, but how it frees up all the other slots.

Wait what? Maybe if you don’t use Wolfshead Helm or powershift, but I think purple is pretty middle of the road for Feral DPS.

It help optimizes yourself, it doesn’t necessarily optimize the raid.

No, blue is middle of the road. That’s how parses work. Purple is pushing up to the top 20%.

Mm, I hadn’t considered that.

~90 is middle of the road for a Feral, many bear parses get counted as feral and there are may brainlet cats who get carried by sitting back and doing litterally nothing that bring parse value down. On Flamegore ~500 dps is a 90, extremely achievable even without worldbuffs.

Imo you have to plug stuff into a spreadsheet if you’re gonna tryhard prio and decide based on actual numbers. A warrior going from 1200 dps to 1220 dps is worse than a feral going from 800 to 830.

For a warrior in some sims DFT is a laughably mediocre dps increase and doesn’t really open any interesting options for gearing either. I don’t know about rogues/ferals but since hit is a bigger deal for them I would imagine they would see better benefit.

Warriors will be able to slot Eye of Hakkar & Circle of Applied Force once they have enough hit-gear. Those are definitely upgrades over Onyxia-tooth pendant & Don Julios Band.

That’s assuming that you are trying to optimize DPS for today and not into the future.

Guilds that did not even really “Try hard” as in the whole guild was not optimized, buff stacked, etc… Had individuals who did crack 2K in naxx and that is actually impressive because the fights are longer and your DPS scales as a result of the whole raid. Faster kills = bigger numbers.

for example, if the fight takes 20 sec, I am basically in AR for the whole fight, or blade flurry.

Won’t argue with you there. I still think that old players weren’t as experienced or as well knowledged to their equivalent of today.

Not what I’m saying, boz.

There’s a 16 year difference. There’s no beating that.

On another note - we just had Midsummer where people had an opportunity to snag up to 18 +2% hit foods.

Imo DFT is on ice for most for the upcoming raids.
