It’s honestly not that bad… I’ve had no issues getting the glyphs. Just fly upwards and glide until you get the vigor regen buff.
I maxed it out today, just flew around the map for 45 minutes and it’s extremely fun now that you get a charge of vigor every 5 seconds. It’s way faster than regular flying.
People here complaining just don’t want to learn anything new or are just bad at simple mechanics.
I picked up Dragon Riding pretty easy, and tbh its bangin, sure I do miss normal flight here and there but being able to cross large distances faster since you can move at a max 830% speed in the air if done right just makes it the cherry on top of the fact that we really needed a shake up with mounted movement
It’s quite simple really. Dragonriding is a MAIN FEATURE of a new expansion only 5 days old. They aren’t going to release old flying this early to compete with a MAIN FEATURE. Not after all the marketing and time invested.
Yes, it sucks for those with disabilities and hopefully blizzard will add and/or improve the options in the settings to help alleviate some of those issues, but it won’t be by releasing old flying so soon.
As for the other ppl complaining they can’t afk fly or hover, oh well. Old flying will come later on down the road, you’ll just have to wait.
Check out a guide and come back to that one. I got all my glyphs by lvl 62. Getting all the other ones first made the last one a breeze, also. Now I can fly on my dragon pretty much as long as I want.
Don’t worry, 18 months, long after the novelty has worn out, they’ll put out a 9 part Pathfinder meta for you to grind so you can use your own mount for the remaining 6 months of the expansion.
Yeah… I thought this was the case too with flying upwards. But if you point up and use the upward flight ability you will nearly reach max speed and gain a lot more height. It’s been awesome since I got the hang of it. No complaints other than it makes it a little harder to afk haha
In wow you have to swing your camera around constantly, as well as sprinting, dashing, teleporting, etc. but you’re saying dragon riding is causing you this much of a problem? I’m curious what % of the game you actually interact with.
I don’t like it because I find things like this impossible to do. So no, you don’t understand why I don’t like failing at something and not improving after doing it many times over.
Who is “misinformed”, but those who like you are pushing that ablist message that disabled people or those with vision/coordination impairment should have chosen not to have these issues, just as you chose to be born without them.
Hey, I can’t do these things. I know my limitations, but you know better. You are here to prove that it is the right thing for Blizzard to have designed this expansion to drive out all the disabled players you think are tainting your game, and you’re proud to want this.
You should be ashamed of yourself, but clearly you have no shame. You are doing life wrong. But sure, if you work really hard to drive away as many paying customers as possible, I’m sure your master will reward you handsomely.
Arguing for disabled players is fine, but there’s an easy fix for them. Keybind the dragon riding abilities to your mouse. Either wheel scroll up or down or your side buttons or whatever. You really only need the first two moves you get which are the fly up and fly dash forward abilities.
I had the same problem for an hr or so when trying to get the Thaldraszus Apex glyph. So I watched a 2 min youtube video then got the glyph after 2-3 failed attempts. There’s no reason you can’t do it either.
No sure if anyone actually legit responded. 1. You shouldn’t try to fly that high in a legit fashion until you have basically everything unlocked, then it is much easier. 2. To get the glyph now, just use your vigor points to fly up and up, then stop on a mountain ledge when you run out. 3. Finally, when using vigor points for soar, make sure you use them in an overlapping fashion. Burn 2 points back to back so you gain the thrill of the skies buff, then use them just fast enough to keep the buff, so you regain vigor as you use the vigor. Once you max dragon riding talents, you can do this indefinitely…or at least until you mess up.
There is one fix for all disabilities and impairments? How is this going to help the player who posted saying they have only one hand? How is it going to help someone like me who can’t do racing through rings out of my range of vision at high speeds?
I’m sorry to hear you can’t do the races because of the speeds and as for the person with one hand, the solution I gave is a literal fix for a one handed person.
What kind of solution are you looking for? Removing dragon riding? Using our normal mounts in dragon isles?
Removing dragon riding would be a terrible idea because it’s a feature that many like and it’s a lot better than previous no flying for months on end and having to do a bunch of BS. As for the races, you wouldn’t be able to complete them in the set time with a normal mount anyway.
I understand the need to want to be included and when you can’t do what the majority can do it sucks. Trust me, I really do.
But the solution is not changing the entire system for a small minority of the player base.
