Why does an entire company have to cater to you and remove our fun?

No one is asking for dragon flying to be removed my god you dragon riders are all the same players ask for regular flying to be enabled sooner then later and you are all like wahhhhh my precious dragon riding is going to be taken away.

NO ONE IS WANTING DRAGON RIDING TO BE TAKEN AWAY THEY JUST WANT OPTIONS DUE TO MOTION SICKNESS OR A DISABILITY.

I haven’t had any issues, but I’ve also played GW2 for years and it’s almost identical to how the gryphon is. Hopefully it finally clicks for you, but I agree they should have the option for both, at least after a while, so that everyone can play how they want, and use their favorite mounts again

Keep in mind that you’re getting Dragon riding at the start, for free, compared to the typical “wait for X.1” option

You’ll likely have those options at the usual time; DR is a bonus to the usual flight.

I played the beta and done that. Got annoying after my dragon would alert me that there was a glyph, and than having to swoop around looking for them. When you are just starting off you have to pause a lot inbetween.

The tutorial of Dragon ridding felt like playing Superman 64, with the ring following. Than you hope that your handveye coronation is good cause when you’re swooping at those speeds it can be hard to avoid obstacles, and if you hit one you drop than have to build up all your speed again.

Other’s have given explanation for not liking Dragonridding and it easily to understand that some players just want to use a system that has been in the game for years already that has had not many issues for all that time. They do not want to spend extra time grinding to make a feature that they already don’t enjoy just a little more tolerable.

It is the same way that players did not like borrowed power being a system that requires extra grinding to make it work at it full potential. They want to focus on playing the game and not all the extra steps.

Even if it took you only 30mins to get the glyphs that an extra 30mins of grinding to them. With all the necessary evil that is grinding that are already in placed in a MMORPGS those extra 30mins is another 30mins players have to drop to use another feature.

To many player is a simple question of why does Blizzard need to go and reinvent the wheel when we can get everywhere with what is in-game already?

Heh. I healed 8/8 dungeons in M0 yesterday. I find it sad people compare coordination and such with flying equal to that of a dungeon/raid. Two VERY different playstyle areas.

But you are level 68?

Dragon riding is much faster than a typical flying mount or taxi. I don’t get why people are complaining about it. Mount, press the 2 button a couple of times and then glide super-fast to your destination.

How else are you going to Zerg through everything and get bored/complain/unsub? It’s the fastest way to skip all the boring stuff and words, etc.

That said, I loved it in Spyro.

you do get used to it though. i find myself wishing it was even faster now.

What you just said is very low iq. Why would I not want to wait while it recharges? How much more sense could you not make? It should be a unlimited flying. They should exactly like the worgen with their running wild mount.

Where in my post did I ever write that I wanted DR removed? Can’t find it? Because it doesn’t exist. In fact, in most of my posts, I talk about how my friend loves DR.

Gildondar,
I have no problem with you playing the game your way. I don’t care if you spend your entire day riding a dragon around. In fact, if you find it fun, then I am very happy that you are enjoying your time in the game.

With that said, I am not the only person who suffers with a physical reaction to DR, but I can only speak for myself when I say, that it gives me a headache, hurts my eyes, and makes me want to throw up (even with the accessibility settings set).

I see zero reason why Blizzard cannot accommodate people like me and allow us to just have our old flying mounts back. It has zero impact on you or others.

From your post, it is clear that the only thing you care about is your fun and not of the fun of others within the MMO you are play. It is also the reason why people consider the WoW community to be toxic.

I’m surprised to see so many people having problems with the dragonriding system. It’s very easy to do, actually.

I had more problems playing older games from my brothers (N64, Star Fox 64) than navigating a dragon.

I struggled with it at first, but then I decided to do the quest for the first zone for the dragon races. I. was. terrible at it the first few times. I hit trees. I got lost once. But by the time I got done practicing on the races in the first zone, I’d really gotten a better grip on dragonriding and how it all works.

I’m not finished with the campaign story, yet. I’m only 2.5 zones worth of glyphs in. I have my 5th vigor and I do not yet have the spinny trick that you get after achieving the 3rd dragon (not there in the story).

But I almost never run out of vigor anymore. I almost never have to wait halfway up a mountain anymore.

We’re less than a week into this thing, and I’m not even maxed out on it, and it’s getting easier. I love this feature. I truly think it’s the best thing that’s happened to WoW in a long time. I really am sorry that for a lot of players with medical issues or physical disability, the feature is inaccessible. That really sucks, and I hope they put regular flight in very soon for those players.

But for people who are simply struggling to figure out how to use dragonriding…seriously, do the races. You’re by yourself, it’s not like you’re going to be embarrassed in a group or anything. Fall down, run out of vigor, smash into trees or get too close to the ground. It’s fine. Restart. Try again. And it will click at some point.

Then it gets FUN.

Not everyone has the same opinion what is “fun”. Getting sick to my stomach while Dragon Flying is not fun for me.

Listen, I had the same issue with the glyphs on those high peaks. The key is to not fly upward against the mountain itself, but out in the air, and wait until you reach the apex of the upward movement before hitting it again. It can be done.

No one wants to remove Dragon flying or remove your fun. Having normal flying after a pathfinder type system is finished will have zero affect on your game play.
