Dragonriding, so fun I want to smash my keyboard

Some people simply don’t enjoy mini-games, which is all Dragon Flying is. It was poor judgment to make this the centerpiece of a new expansion and designing the zones expressly for a mini-game. The zones are frustrating to navigate on a ground mount, never mind trying to get to gathering nodes. I suspect that a large number of the players who are so enthusiastic about Dragon Flying would be just as happy if the entire feature was released as a game for their phones.

Sorry you’re not liking it, but I find it amazing…

It is not a mini game. It is a better flying system that gives players the freedom to fly while removing the overpower elements of being hover.

This needs to be the new default flying.

It’s like when people say they don’t want to have kids, and other parents say " Oh that’s just because you haven’t had them wait, wait till you have them you’re gonna love them trust me!".

Dead wrong. Dragonriding is about 3 times faster than flying and once you have all your dragonriding talents (which takes like 1 hour tops) maintaining speed/altitude is trivial.

Stop being god awful terrible. This stuff isn’t even remotely hard, and I suck at video games.

Take an hour and get your glyphs and you won’t have any problems. This isn’t complicated.

There is literally only one glyph that is remotely challenging to get, and you can save it for the last when you have a almost totally upgraded dragon

All you really need is skyward ascent. I rarely use the other abilities and get around anywhere quite easily.

Mini game isn’t content for some people.

That sums it up.

OP’s only 5 years old, give them a break.

Yeah you’re just bad at the game. Get gud

It is faster. That being said, what would it harm to allow those of us who choose to use regular mounts and fly at 310%? Right now I am using flight paths often, but I hate that they don’t do direct paths and waste mote time.

I have Dragonriding fully unlocked, all glyphs. I just hate that I can’t pause mid air, look at maps, find out which direction I am actually going. It’s fast, yeah, but it has downsides too. And the fact you have to actually fly, keep yourself in the air etc feels like I have to babysit my character while flying. I used to just use my flying mount, aim in a direction and have it on auto run basically and tab out.

Not sure why these comments are needed. I “figured it out” but I still don’t like it. I also have mounts I paid for from the store that I rather use instead. AND the fact that to customize our dragons to get them to a point we like them, takes “unlocks” and stuff doing things like races I have 0 interest in, also ruins the whole thing for me.

Because they can’t accept the fact when Blizzard releases regular flying and players decide to use that instead of dragon riding it takes away their claim as dragon riding best ever.

Glad they still work. Only about 2 gold each.

Some of them you need to leap frog from one ledge to another, waiting for vigor to refill in between. I went and grabbed all of them as soon as I unlocked dragon riding and didn’t have any problems, just the annoying periods of watching YouTube while waiting for vigor to refill.

After the first 12-18 points you shouldn’t need to wait much anymore, at that point I was able to get most of the rest without landing in between.

I will personally fly you to the top of that mountain to get the glyph…if you pay me 10k gold.

What Blizzard should do when they release regular flying is make it so when on a normal flying mount, you cannot get anything related to dragon flying no glyphs no power ups nothing.

Maybe you’ll get better with some good old fashioned practice.

Shift M for the minimap wherever you want while flying
