Dragonriding, so fun I want to smash my keyboard

If this isn’t the biggest skill issue I’ve ever seen. If it’s “too hard”, go to youtube and watch a guide

SIR DO YOU HAVE A MOMENT TO TALK ABOUT WOW CLASSIC?

Please use a different acronym I beg of you

Dragonriding tips:

  1. Do not use your “1” unless you want immediate horizontal momentum or are doing races.

  2. Use the spacebar or “2” skill to gain vertical and horizontal momentum while maintaining your speed when gaining height.

  3. ONLY use your skills when you’re going at “fast” speeds (you’re having those air lines to the side) as they increase that momentum or maintain the swift trails things, this lets you fly infinitely as you are keeping an uptime of over 90% on the buff that recharges your vigor.

On a side note, I thought dragonriding would be harder from reading complaints or hearing you’d start slow with increasing resource as you go but in practice there’s very little you can’t do with 3 vigor and getting it leveled to 4 vigor and medium recharge time takes so little time that it’s a moot complaint imo.

Its funny when people in this game who think theyre big shot actually have to use some skill or brain power. They just crumble.

For real, there’s harder flash games (do those still exist?) than dragonriding

Well, there’s a lot of those.

Which do you mean? Tyr’s hold?

I got all the glyphs, I can’t say dragonflying is too terribly important to my life. I get being a dragon and flying as a dragon that’s like super deep and everything :dracthyr_nod: But there’s zero creativity in being a gliding and scaly squirrel who just needs to go faster. Regular flying works because the layers of game system inherent in an MMO makes vertical mobility a luxurious cheat code. This is just some product designed to flaunt a non-physics engine. I can dive from the tallest mountain that has ever been placed in the game, dive 1000 yards at 800% movement speed and just lose all of the “momentum” by instantly pulling up. It’s all being held together by conditions, static values, and the extra sparkly smile of celebrities :dracthyr_no1: :dracthyr_no2: /unsubscribe

Former CE raider, completed all 20s last season of Shadowlands, can’t get good at dragon riding due to motion sickness. /sadface

I thought I would hate it but I’m loving it. Yeah I’ve spent my fair share of time on the ground waiting to charge up again, but I’m finding it a lot of fun

you can keep that momentum by pressing 1 or spacebar.

The main issue is this to be honest, maybe an option is needed for people that have motion sickness

Go get the easy glyphs and upgrade. I maxed in less than 2 hours with the tomcat addon and now have unlimited flying day 1 of the expansion release. Loads more engaging than old flying once you figure it out.

wel you will have to get used to it it does get better once you get all the runes but dont expect flying to be added they will never enable regular flying in dragonflight doing so would completly invalidate their main feature they have aid its not going to happen.

Where are the easy glyphs…???

they already said they are adding normal flying later actually https://www.wowhead.com/news/full-fledged-flying-planned-for-a-later-patch-in-dragonflight-326874

I really wish some of you would stop trying to explain how we can do DF right, how you learned to love it, how we will like it if we just give it a chance, etc. All of this is starting to sound like the infamous “you think you do, but you don’t” comment.

Some of us do not like DF. We just don’t like it. I know how to do it. I did it in beta. I don’t like it. Please just accept that.

I don’t want DF to be changed or taken away for those of you who do like it. Have fun! I just don’t understand why Blizz is forcing everyone to do it and won’t allow the option to choose either DF or regular mounts.

I haven’t had any problems, I’m having fun with it… sorry you’re not

waaaaahhhhh waaaaaaaahhhhhh. Dragon riding is awesome and should’ve been implemented long ago.

I’d love to disagree with you, but gaming as a whole is headed that direction. Whether anyone actually wants it or not is a different debate for a different thread, but I’m unfortunately also starting to feel like I am not the target audience of this game. Which feels really odd since I’ve been playing it as long as you have as well.
