That type of flying has never been available on day 1 of any expansion. For about the last four hasn’t been made available until at least the 2nd patch. So I don’t get why it’s being brought up by either side because it is completely irrelevant.
Yes it has. All you had to do was reach max level then literally go buy flying. If you could reach max level day one in the expansion then you could get flying day one.
Which was only being done by the most rich players because back then 100 gold took a long time to get. Today 100 gold is nothing. So my point still stands. If you want to bring it back to the way it use to be then make flying cost 500k and ONLY for that character. But that’s a different conversation for another thread.
I’m inclined to agree. Dragonriding is more frustrating than anything else, especially when blizzard puts all these objectives that you have to scale a mountain for. I don’t enjoy having to afk multiple times for 4 minutes every 30 seconds just so I can scale a mountain that has a glyph on it
Every thread is like this, it might just be a troll farm blizzard hired from some economically deprived country, you honestly wouldn’t be able to tell the difference
if you’re having to do that then you’re not doing it right
all i want is regualr flying just add both make people happy and be done with it i could care less if i’m even slower i just enjoy regular flying more and i know some love dragonriding so why not both blizz how hard is it?
Even though I think you’re wrong, flying in cata and MoP cost a pittance at best.
5k in BC wasn’t the cost of flying. It was the cost to make flying faster. It’s always been that price. This “hurr it’d cost a million jillion gold due to inflation” nonsense is exactly that. Nonsense. That 5k gold is STILL required to this day to buy fast flying per character. It has never gone up and has never gone away.
I hate that bad faith ridiculous argument.
Meanwhile, I just got all the glyphs 15 minutes ago and unlocked my entire Dragonflight tree. Vigor charges up pretty fast with a full tree and is really fun to get around using this type of flying. Now let’s see if using Soar will get me the whole thing like the mount.
Just get a WeakAura for dragon riding that shows you your momentum, speed and threshold. Play around and see the effects on the WA and you’ll soon learn the hang of it.
P.S. I’ve got other lvl 60+ characters that I play with, not this twink.
I just started and I have the same issue - I run out of vigor and I just stall in mid air. Not high enough to dive for momentum.
This is not fun at the moment. Hopefully they nerf it so it’s easier to stay up.
I’ll keep at it though. Just not feeling it at the moment.
I am inclined to agree.
This should have been optional day one.
Count me as one who’s delighted. It’s so fast and feels so intuitive once you get the hang of it which should take less then 15 min of playing.
You’re doing something wrong. I never run out of Vigor now that I have all the Glyphs.
You can make it across the whole map.
No sh#t. But there are far more factors involved with how flying use to be than hurr “cost was only 5k.” The ease of which gold can be acquired has changed dramatically. It’s far easier to raise 5k than it was back in TBC because quests back then were giving out copper, not gold. When players hit max level they were gold farming for a long time to get that 5K. Did you even play classic? It’s been available for some time now. It’s always been a grind to get flying the only difference is back then players were grinding gold instead of pathfinder.
And with that I’m done with you because this has nothing to do with dragon riding. If you want to continue talking about the history of WOW flying then start your own thread.
LOL what gamer wants to play the same thing over and over again for 18 years. Like seriously bro.
“Give me my instant rewards without effort or trying cause I am lazy” That is all these posts are
You can already cheese the glyphs with the ride along system. It’s there for accessibility.
Yeah, I find it hilarious that it’s okay to get glyphs as the tag along whelp with zero effort but manually flying there with traditional flying mount would be “cheesing” it.
That said, if they would just give normal flying, I wouldn’t complain if they disabled things like the glyphs with normal flying.
Both. Both is possible and good.
Which one are you struggling with? I got them all without a hitch. Maybe I can tell you where to start from.
Literally none of that matters. The cost never went away. It’s always been 5k even in the “crazy world of inflation”. Flight licenses (wrath-MoP) only cost the gold you got from leveling. They were always cheap.
Good. You were very wrong on many accounts. It’s best if you step back.
