Dragonflight winning over FF14

says you.

you don’t dictate what content people do and do not do. Nor do you speak for anyone.

It seems like a lot of FFXIV fans have trouble separating facts from opinions. For that matter, most of the people posting on this forum do.

Only thing FF14 has over WoW is their story and housing.

thankfully im not a ff14 fan lol.

not good to talk out yourself.

I wasn’t referring to you but the person you were responding to.

That’s the best way to talk.

Are you Venomx? Cause this is 100% a troll topic.

okie cool cool

sure lol

Is it not the same people who made the worst mmo story to date, in Shadowlands, who is responsible for DF story as well?

Hm maybe they outsorced the DF story…if so it could be good ^^

Those are two big "only"s.

Not to everyone. I personally don’t play MMOs for the story, I’m a quest skipper and don’t really care for housing much either.

Which is completely valid. Some people also play MMOs and don’t participate in any combat-related activities at all. This is also valid.

My god why did the OP open this pandora’s box. You can’t compare apples to durian.

yep, those are playing FF and the more combat oriented crowd go to wow

It is possible to enjoy both.

I love both ip’s and the current games for different reasons.

Top reason for ffxiv is that I can do every class on one character.

The developers don’t include what’s popular in the social agenda in the game. Japan is awesome this way…. So no politics.

Ffxiv has so much more to do that isn’t meta content.

The social tools just for taking screen shots is amazing really and so are all of the emotes, dances, facial expressions you can aquire.

The mogs are objectively better because it’s not using wows engine. You are legitimate if you have an opinion that the art style is not your thing, but robes are actual robes and are not just painted on your character or look like flexible pieces of cardboard.

Ffxiv has a much better system to get you to fly in each expansion.

Ffxiv raiding respects the players time with eliminating most trash mobs or the need to travel 10 minutes back to your location when you wipe. The fights are definitely comparable in difficulty.

The golden saucer blows anything wow has for mini games out the water.

What I like more about wow are the races, history/lore that tied everything up from Warcraft 3.

Dragon riding looks to steal guild wars 2 flying and I’m really stoked for that as I absolutely love this in gw2 and I believe a lot (not all) will find that they enjoy this more than swimming through the air.

Pvp in all cases is superior in wow. My favorite past times are still just grouping up with friends and doing randoms. Df actually making this fair with the gear changes makes this all the more enticing.

At the end of the day I’ll play both. Currently going back to ffxiv and will mainly hop back on wow for df.

Will go back and forth in-between patch cycles.

It really shouldn’t be only this game or only that game. Play something when it’s fun and either take a break or stop when it becomes unfun

You do realize there is a video and info that shows us MMOS population as of June 2022.FF14 has almost double the active subscribers as WOW.Dragonflight will bring back players but the overall health and numbers are on a decline, maybe this changes, but no1 can deny FF14 is growing and growing day by day, and no amount delusional posts you make OP will change that.

The raiding in FFXIV is hardly raiding. It’s 3d DDR in a square arena where the real difficulty is staying awake long enough to throw enough attempts at it to get that one attempt where everyone does it right all at once and the boss dies. 90% of the “mechanics” are either “don’t stand in the neon glowing spot” or “kill this add before it walks into the boss” or “stand behind a pillar so this raid wipe doesn’t hit you”. The dps checks are pretty loose in comparison and every attempt plays out exactly the same way every time. There is no thinking on your feet or quickly reacting to something happening that’s different than all the other times before. The only thing FFXIV does that’s at all interesting in raids is tank busters, but even that’s pretty shallow in the grand scheme of things. Also I guess that one Rabanastre fight with the boss with three heads isn’t so bad, and seeing throwbacks like Ozma is cool even if the fight itself is very basic.

I played FFXIV for years and I really loved it, and there are a LOT of things it does waaaaay better than WoW. But when it comes to raiding, FFXIV and WoW don’t even belong in the same sentence together.

Hello, I see you made a thread about the critically acclaimed, #1 MMO in the world, Final Fantasy 14. I love me some busty bunny girls . This alone makes FF14 better than World of Warcraft, haha!

Thanks for your post and have a great day!
