Dragonflight winning over FF14

So far what has been shown dragonflight looks far more likely to beat FF14 in terms of art design , artwork , character models, zone design, and it’s visual animations, customization and options and armor designs and music as well.

I highly doubt anything on FF14 can even compete what dragonflight is shaping up to be and ill bet the story in dragonflight will be far better than anything on FF14 and shadowlands combined (even though on alpha and beta and PTR will be encrypted).

In the end of the day I highly doubt anything on FF14 can even outrank dragonflight.

FFXIV has housing. Blizzard won’t even touch that with a ten foot pole. Also FFXIV has some really, really, nice transmog options.

Im optimistic about Dragonflight, too, but it is absolutely laughable to suggest it will hold a candle to FFXIV’s storytelling.

Yeh, I am looking forward to that too. The new dungeons sound interesting as well, but mostly I like the idea of having my own, relatively customisable island.

I like FFXIV, but something has never jived with me on the claim that the game is so much more popular than WoW. If you look around the internet, even 6 to 8 months ago, there didn’t seem to be a ton of hype. A lot of the streamers who switched over don’t seem to be playing much anymore, Twitch numbers are pretty low, and the views on youtube videos for the game are not that impressive. I don’t think just saying “well everyone is playing the game. They aren’t interested in Twitch or watching Youtube videos.” is sufficient to explain it.

14 just can’t hold my interest. It requires a wealth of reading. I read books for that, not video games. I played all of 14 through Shadowbringers MSQ. I just didn’t play Endwalker. I just can’t anymore. I don’t know who is “winning”, but WoW is the more “fun” game of the two.
