Dragonflight will kill Wrath’s population

Yea but they aren’t doing that in WotLK. If they are that is news to me and wrong. It’s a shame they did that in retail since Profs should matter in PvP and for Min/Maxing builds.

One of the best parts of playing WotLK is BS for extra sockets and JC for Epic gems in those sockets for PvP.

Yeah it will be in wrath or at least it better be. That was the last time I actually took the time to even worry about professions…

Yea that’s why I was commenting the OP was implying they were removed. At least how I read it.

I mean if you want to be on the same playing field as me than I feel like you need to be putting in the same effort as me. Or is that mentality wrong?

I held off playing Shadowlands until very late (9.2.0 is when I started), and by then the pains of early expansion had been sorted out, so I had quite a good time.

However, the Jailer and his mace are simply not very compelling end game characters like the Lich King and Shadowmourne are. At least in my opinion.

That’s why my caveat is that the overarching story is kinda cheesy, but it has been since Deathwing or Illidan. But the individual zones themselves I thought were done very well. Maldraxxus. Ardenweald. Etc.

Nah they’ll just shut Classic down, Retail players who hate Retail populate this game. 90% of the game is filled with min max people, BiS lists and parsing which all come from Retail.

SoM servers shut down due to a low play count, wishing for your biggest playerbase to walk is a death sentence.

Yeah, I agree. I am not much of a solo quester, but I genuinely enjoyed the zones, and questing through Shadowlands content. I even hit renowned 80 on 3 different covenants before finding out I could buy the BoA stuff from the vendor beside the flightmaster in Oribos! haha

Yep.

then the casuals leave. some go good. then the raid loggers leave once done. well the ones who don’t sell carries lol.

they come back next season. and blizzard goes give open world, pvp and dungeon something again. a fun cycle since legion really lol.

DF they ahve to be careful. that gets group/masterlike loot. Raid logger x can gear funnel faster to unsub lol.

SoM servers were always going to be open for one year and Blizzard has said they are staying for the full duration. Yes, people quit after Naxx 40 was cleared and the servers are emptying, that was always going to happen, but Blizzard did not shut them down early.

Proof:

Blizzard has sent out surveys for Cataclysm. They do not intend to stop here. Season meant a year.

Like you can and do have your opinions, but you just seem to enjoy being negative and doomsaying. You also don’t seem to listen to what other people are saying, and instead, talk down to others and diminish what they have told you as their reasons. That’s because you are constantly negative.

Hopefully, you leave this forum soon and go post on the proper forums for the proper game, as I do. Your toxic and close-minded attitude won’t help you pull people away to Dragonflight, and the game will be fine or it won’t be but not because of your reasons because you clearly do not understand the player base, you understand only one person. Yourself.

have to endure the !%$!%!% rune still so meh

If I’m being honest, the dragonflight cinematic was so boring with so little energy and so little clear direction that my motivation to play it is literally at a 0.

The only thing retail is capable of killing is itself.

Not worried about wotlk at all.

Yea they’re two different games. People play for different reasons, so one’s population won’t have a drastic affect on another.

That being said I am excited to check it out. I didn’t raid in shadowlands as one tier of mythic in BFA was plenty of a time sink for me for a good while, but the zones in shadowlands were beautiful and questing / dungeons were very engaging and a lot of fun.

Classic gets to a point where there isn’t much to do besides raid logging anyways, so I’m sure I’ll play at that point in time. In TBC, I completed every quest there was and had a bank completely filled with consumables during P1, which lasted me for most of the rest of the game, so beyond raid logging there wasn’t much to offer beyond PvP.

Guarantee the majority of classic players are people who quit before retail became awful like it did. Why would anyone who quit because of retail clown fiesta return for more retail? Makes no sense

That is a no-go for 50% of the current shadowlands player base.
You already contradicted yourself.

M+ is the pillar of the casual community.

Because Wrath is no longer staying true to the original game, DF has far more going for it than Wrath Reforged which is basically a bastardized version of the game designed to sell boosts.

Because reasonable people are willing to give new things a try, on the chance that said new thing actually does turn out to be an enjoyable time

I mean, you’re already paying the sub anyway for Classic access, so you don’t even lose anything by just trying it out

They’re attempting to turn Raiding into something people will be interested in too, I always liked Raids over M+ so i’m interested to test that part of the Beta when it releases.
